Sender: Nicole Burton Recipient: The Council Subject: Business Proposition
Greetings.
My name is Nicole Burton on behalf of the Universal Shipping Incorporated. After the invasion of Manchester system and the general insecurity of the Independent Worlds and southwestern California we extensively used the Omega-3 route to reach Bretonia and support with supplies their defense efforts as well as Liberty's own expeditionary fleets.
However after the recent unfortunate events in Omega-3, this last highway to safely and efficiently supply Bretonia has become quite dangerous for our least experienced crews. In addition we have received information of the discovery of new mining fields in Gallia which contain significant quantities of molybdenum. Due to all these reasons, we determined that this presents a good opportunity to work more closely with The Council which remains undistracted and fully committed against the royalist war machine.
To be more specific, Universal Shipping wishes to send a large convoy filled up with your most wanted materials to Gallia and then work together with your miners in the new fields. We understand the dangers involved in this proposition so our convoy will be escorted by our best security pilots. However this will allow us to establish a better contact and cooperation with your movement, help us determine your needs and shortages and also create commercial opportunities by exporting molybdenum back to Sirius.
We very much want to hear back from you.
Thank you.

Let me introduce myself i am Commandant Jean-Claude Laflèche leader of the Resistance of the Gallia we are currently under the command of Council, unfortunately, i see HQ didn't answer your proposition as part of it i will help you with your mission of course if you still interested? i will assembly miners and escort too to help you get in and out of Gallia.
Let me know if you are still interested!!
Signed
Jean-Claude Laflèche

Commandant Laflèche thank you for getting back to us.
We are indeed baffled by the stance of your HQ which been recognized by the Republic of Liberty and has received substantial support, including trade rights within our House. Perhaps it might be more prudent not only for USI but for the Republic as well to work together with smaller Council groups such as the one you represent. After all, you can only gain from such an endeavor.
Universal Shipping would be interested in knowing what you most need from Sirius, so that we import said commodity to one of your bases. After unloading, our convoy will meet your miners who will guide us to the Molybdenum fields. That is because we don't know where these fields are located, we are not even certain of the exact system. We will undoubtedly welcome any extra escort in our convoy but that is up to you. What we'll definitely need however is a miner.
Thank you.

Madame Burton,
Je suis Général-en-Chef Pierre LaFlamme Du Conseil, et excuse-moi for the late response, but allow me to remark on the alleged generosity of the Republic. I personally liked that part about this generosity the most where the Republic of Liberty has revoked our exemption from the prohibition of flying Gallic Civilian transports within your House without any warning or notice, effectively banning our logistics transports from Liberty after almost a decade of cooperation. Indeed, substantial support et trade rights, Madame.
Now that we've got our facts straight, as you Libertonians tend to say often, et put our mutual grievances aside, let me address your initial query. I'm sure you are aware that as a revolutionary paramilitary organisation The Council puts emphasis on military force to combat the Crown's forces, logistics to sustain our efforts with funds et research to keep up with the technological level of the GRN, but mining itself is a vastly different profession. It is a special source of income requiring additional expertise et special machinery in exchange for higher profits. So far our logistics fleet has been serving us well, we didn't feel the need to develop our own mining technology et operations, et as a result, we are not expert miners.
However, we might have the necessary contacts, the right people for the right job. Gallic Metal Services are the experts of the field within Gallia, et while they are still a lawful corporation the Crown's grip is getting weaker et weaker by the moment, et the situation developing in Picardy might allow us to exploit that. The situation is a bit complex, et the task might prove difficult, but would also be quite rewarding should we succeed.
Assessing the list of materials we require in return might take a while, especially because there will certainly be commodities we are barely able or outright unable to acquire from Liberty ever since that unfortunate et unfavorable change in your laws. In the meanwhile, similarly to Monsieur Laflèche, we are awaiting your response.
Sincèrement,
Général Pierre LaFlamme Du Conseil

General LaFlamme,
You are speaking about the lack of generosity of House Liberty but with all due respect I would like to remind you that my Republic has declared war on the Royalists since the Leeds offensive. From the very beginning we opposed the King even though we could have stayed out of it as House Rheinland did.
Regarding this unfortunate change in our House Laws I suspect that the lawmakers erroneously forgot to consider your transport fleet. Thus, after making inquiries, I would like to recommend you to send a message to Secretary Hawthorne about your problem. You should expect that our lobbyists will support the reinstatement of your rights without delays and without exceptions.
As for this business proposition, please consider it as the beginning of a fruitful partnership. We believe in your cause and what you stand for. We also have no qualms of working together with Council supporters from within GMS ranks. As soon as you assess what you need the most from Liberty we can schedule a more specific time and date.
Thank you.

Madame Burton,
You don't need to remind me about the Liberty Navy only joining in the fight once the Royal Navy has been breathing down on some Bretonian necks. I'm sure the Kingdom of Bretonia appreciated the generosity the Republic has shown towards them. The Council High Command will consider contacting Secretary Hawthorne, should we see there are still some crumbs left from that generosity for us too.
Contact has been estabilished with the Gallic Metal Service, now we are waiting for their response. As for our needs, we may require some personal weaponry and light combat vehicles, possibly repulsorlift hovercrafts. Show us what you can offer in that regard while we wait for our miners, s'il vous plaît.
Sincèrement,
Général Pierre LaFlamme Du Conseil
