Place of Birth: Planet Manhattan
Age: 58 years old
Height: 6 1
Weight: 189 lbs
Occupation: Captain of the Raleigh
Captain Gibbs served in the Liberty Navy most of his life. Born on Manhattan to a family with a tradition of their sons going into the armed forces, Gibbs completed several college courses before signing up for officer training. His first posting was as a lieutenant onboard the Yukon. Gaining experience, he was promoted to a bridge officer in a few years, serving directly under the captain. Quick decision making and a cool head led him to have a good reputation with the naval officers on the Yukon. He was promoted to Commander and placed in charge of the Liberty Navy Ship Kearsarge, a gunboat class ship. He commanded this ship through both peace time, and the brief incidents involving Rhienland ships attacking during the Nomad war. He was promoted to Captain, and retired from active service in 805. Since then he has been teaching at West Point. However, new tensions with Rhienland have made him reconsider. He arrived back on the active roster early in 816, and has since been placed in command of the LNS Raleigh. Gibbs keeps a cool head at all times, and is known for keeping his distance until the right moment. However he does care a considerable amount for his crew, and will not needlessly endanger their lives.
Petty Officer Second Class Christina Kate-
Place of Birth: Planet Manhattan
Age: 27 years old
Height: 5 7
Weight: 163 lbs
Occupation: Helmswoman of the Raleigh
Born and raised on Manhattan, Kates father was an agent in Universal Shipping. Growing up he would take her out on the transports with him. Eventually she started getting the hang of piloting larger craft, even without a formal educational course in their operations. Itching to get into the pilots seat of larger and larger craft, she left her familiar settings and signed up at West Point for a helmsman position. After her training she was given a position on a Mammoth class transport. Not overly exiting for her. But, lucky for Kate, she gets a position on the Raleigh two years later. Kate is a good pilot, but reckless and known for overconfidence. Gibbs has to keep her on a short leash, and has so far been successful.
Chief Warrant Officer David Hughes-
Place of Birth: Planet Denver
Age: 38 years old
Height: 5 9
Weight: 167 lbs
Occupation: Engineering Specialist on the Raleigh
Hughes had always had a knack for machinery. His mother was an equipment specialist for Ageira Technologies. Always more interested in military equipment, he took a job working on the repair crew on Norfolk Shipyard. The Navy took an interest too him after a few years, and approached him. The representatives were curious if he would be interested in working on a ship in the field, after proper training. Hughes agreed, and signed up with the Engineering Corp, learning the Navy ships systems inside and out. After his training, Hughes has been posted on 4 other ships, before his posting on the Raleigh. Hughes is known for his laid back attitude, although has been known to become angry when unnecessary damage is done to whatever ship he is serving on.
Senior Chief Petty Officer Leroy Dawson-
Place of Birth: California Minor
Age: 29 years old
Height: 6 1
Weight: 137 lbs
Occupation: Fire Control Officer of the Raleigh
Having served on the Missouri for most of his career, Dawson worked on gunnery crews most of his time in the navy. Earlier in his life he was hired as a gun turret operator on a Universal Shipping vessel, and has many a time fought off Rogues and the like. He eventually was laid off in the recent Universal Shipping cutbacks. He came to the Navy, knowing it to be a reliable career, as well as one where he could already use some of the skills he learned during his time as a gun turret operator. Dawson now mans the complex new weapons systems on the Raleigh. Dawson is loyal and optimistic, and would not disobey his commanding officers.
The LNS Raleigh: A gunboat class vessel, she serves as a Liberty Navy guard craft. The Raleigh is equipped with a newer weapon centralization system, allowing the weapons on the ship to be coordinated and controlled by a single officer with both ease and procession. Those weapons include a full set of standard Navy turrets with one missile launching turret, along with her main cannon. The ship itself takes its name from the Ancient American flag of New Hampshire. The Depicted ship is the USS Raleigh, under construction in Portsmouth, NH.
