Things are a little quieter since the rebuff =DSE- received in Leeds. Never-the-less since =DSE- merging with Doe|- and reallocating its operational resources to concentrate on Bretonia exclusively, things are on the up.
1. Manchester. Birmingham wreck's dismantling is progressing well. There is damage to one trade lane that needs replacing. There is a problem getting parts for the trade lanes. More about this later.
2. New London. Southampton Shipyard is a total right-off and is presently being demolished. In an effort to reduce costs we have tried to contact the owners of Brighton Business Concourse to lease space. They never replied. Consequently we have deployed a mothballed "Veltman Special" next to Southampton. We have been fortunate to be able to staff it with predominantly experienced former BMM workers who were shipwrights working at Southampton.
Preliminary investigations on the repairs of Pl Dover's two stations, Kennsington and Canterbury may also require deployment of another "Veltman Special" but will advise once discussions are had with the owners. This is the same situation at present for the damaged bases at Pl New London and the docking gates
3. Ageira refuses to deal with =DSE- with regard the supply of Trade Lanes, Jump gates and Docking Gates. This is NOT an ideal situation and submit the correspondence here.
All in all its going rather well, John.
There is one piece of information I need your advise on. It regards the possibility of survivors on Planet Leeds, As you know the AI group called the Daoine Saoirse, have established an humanitarian work at Planet Leeds. They are, in essence, rescuing downed pilots, crew members and the like throughout New London, Leeds and Dublin repatriating them as necessary. Today, a few hours ago, one of our subcontractors who has been doing deliveries to the base there, informed us of a serious concern. The base is extremely close to the planet and is partially in its upper atmosphere. It seems this closeness has enabled the "subbie" to scan the communications frequencies and there is evidence people are transmitting Mayday calls. This is some of what he has recorded. One Two
SUBJECT: Operational Report -Bretonia TO: Cliff Hunter
New York, Liberty Space
Hi there Cliff,
I can see since our companies unification that our two divisions have flourished in capacity. You and your teams efforts in Bretonia are nothing short of astounding with your pure perseverance resulting in some tremendous work being carried out.
I am unsure what is going on in the realms of Ageira of late as we've remained committed to our own devices, the tradelane projects have remained mostly autonomous in recent years. As far as I can make out with that communique, Bretonia are yet to come to an arrangement with Ageira? I'll follow this up in due time. How short in supply are we with the parts we need? Is there any opportunities to salvage some parts from more damaged lanes to fixed the most necessary lanes? Also liaise with your clients in Bretonia to see about how to overcome this supply issue.
As for Pl Leeds; there is nothing else to say other that we need to commit all available resource we have available to bring those people up off the planets surface. I'm routing an emergency fund and sending the Iroquois out to base herself in upper orbit to assist with medical and crisis managements. They will liaise with the local authorities spearheading their rescue.
An update from Liberty, we're progressing well with the scrap metal salvage operations and further more, more local contracts are being scored with the local law enforcement agencies here. We also have decided to fast track our operations in Kusari and get that gate project up there completed in a quicker time frame to help reallocate resources into Bretonia.
