Project Mobile Command Center:

While the Gallic war raged on and our Naval Fleets away from Liberty it fell to the Liberty Police Inc. to maintain the peace and stability within the Republic without any Naval support of any kind. During peace time the Liberty Police was used to receiving support from local naval officers frequently and some say the police grew to complacent. When Battleship Rio Grande was moved out of Colorado One Police Plaza was the sole lawful presence in the system and a great responsibility lied with those charged to protect Colorado from foreign and domestic forces who broke Liberty Law. Police Chief Jean Holiday ordered the Blackwatch Fleet Flagship LPI-BW-Leavenworth to take charge of Colorado's defenses and ensure the Xeno threat was kept in check. Sadly with the Leavenworth being the Corporations sole Battleship it struggled with answering important calls such as illegal bases, and Rogue/Unioner Warships all the way in Texas. The Leavenworth was not able to reach its destination in time and the call was already over just as quickly as it started. With this happening on a more frequent basis Chief Holiday attempted to request funding from the Republic but was met with denial. On a positive note the Republic deemed it fit to grant the Liberty Police Inc. with a permanent double payout bonus for using the Republics bounty board. Most Officers who knew about the Leavenworth's struggles donated most of their reward from the board to the Liberty Police Budget. Money was only going to stretch so far and something needed to be done. Hence the Chief had an idea and started a secure transmission with the Fifth Liberty Naval Fleet and a discussion ensued which took several months. In Summary the 5th Naval Fleet granted the request for a Liberty Assault Carrier so long as the Liberty Police Inc. finished delivering the remaining materials needed to construct the ship on Norfolk Shipyard. With this task extremely important Chief Holiday sent out communications to Interspace Commerce, Doe Industries, and Universal Shipping and last but not least Dauman Heavy Construction. Sadly Interspace Commerce was not able to take the contract due to scheduling issues but the entirety of the contract has been taken up by the rest of the contacted Corporations and delivery has already begun. We expect the ship to be done within the month and a christening will be held at Norfolk Shipyard to commemorate the unity between the Fifth Liberty Naval Fleet and the Liberty Police Inc. to show the dedication the 5th has shown to protect the Republics Citizens. The ship which has not been named yet will aid the Leavenworth and respond to calls to far away and aid the Liberty Police Brass to analyze important calls more efficient and effectively. This vessel will serve as a Mobile Command Center for Chief Holiday but also a combat ship if needed.
