2. The Unioners are certainly not allied to the Corsairs either. They are also neutral to unfriendly.
3. There is little to no reason why the Mollys and Red Hessians are on the Outcast allies list, but of course the logical arguments behind changing that are ignored.
4. The Gaians are allied to the Corsairs for the sole argument of Corsairs lacking allies... so instead of making up ridiculous alliances for Corsairs how about removing a few of the nonsensical Outcast allies instead? What do Gaians have to do with Artifacts anyways...
5. Don't even get me started on the sillyness of the Corsair - Order alliance...
Mollys and Red Hessians are sort of a "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" thing. Mollys and Hessians hate the Corsairs, Outcasts hate the Corsairs, let's be friends!

When the Gaians are terrorists who commit murder to keep lifeless rocks lifeless, they aren't going to get support.
Now, the Green Front might get support, like Greenpeace do in real life, but that doesn't mean that the people will support the Gaians. In fact, the people would probably hate the Gaians, since they're treasonous, murdering terrorists. Even those that agree with their goals would likely dislike them for making them look bad.
For instance, would Greenpeace activists support murder in the name of the environment? I doubt it. Would they support treason? I doubt that too.
Hell, in real life, the Earth Liberation Front don't get support from Greenpeace, despite not killing anyone, only doing property damage. They don't have mass support. Those with similar goals dislike them. Add to the fact that the Gaians rob and kill people like any other criminal and you lose lots of support.
Also, you go on about in-game RP altering the diplomacy and such (and I really think the Gaians should be shooting up Samura Heavy Industry). I've seen little in-game RP convincing me that the Gaians are anything but terrorists and murderers with no public support. I have, however, seen Bretonian officials letting the people know that they're criminals of the worst sort. I've also seen propaganda messages which seem like threats. The sort of thing that will make the people act like cornered badgers instead of happy sheep.
Humans aren't herd animals, anyway... they're pack animals, like wolves, jackals and the like.:D
Hm, blunt has a point here. The Gaians are basically radicals who have sided with an invading force; somehow I find it difficult to believe that they would still maintain any kind of popular support in Bretonia. The way I see it, the more visible, 'centrist' Green Front that's active on Cambridge would want to cut ties with the Gaians because it only hurts their own reputations to be associated with traitors to Bretonia (kind of a problem when you're holding a public office).
So I'm afraid something's gotta go: either the Gaians end their Kusari alliance or they break all ties with Bretonia and the Green Front. Personally, since you guys have a lot of established RP with Kusari factions and have pretty much zero sympathy from the Brets:P, I would think you'd stick to your new Kusari bedfellows and hope that the Bretonian government is crippled.
The more I think about the Gaians, however, the more the obvious truth becomes clearer to me: they were originally a filler faction thrown in without a fully developed background or ideology, under the bizarre premise of Greenpeace Gone Wild :)(Mind you, I think the Mollys are a pretty weak concept as well...just goes to show you what the developers thought of the Brits:P). And now it's up to the players to clean up the mess...I feel for ya Marburg (and all you other Gaians), you don't have a lot to work with here, but it is a unique concept and kudos for turning it away from "come hug the trees with us."
The Gaians are actually based off a group, originally founded in the UK, which the FBI considered, even after 9/11, to be the USA's greatest domestic terrorist threat.
Ah yes, forgot about the ELF...well, from that Wiki article it seems like they're all over the place in terms of their environmentalism. Maybe the Gaians are gonna start branching out a bit, you know, sinking those Kusari whales:P
Edit: To the post below me, yes I am fully aware they are attacking the whalers not the whales. Thought I would make a bad joke. My apologies to all involved.

I think the ELF are opposed to the old Japanese tradition of whaling.

DING!! give that cossack a cigarski! That is what I've been saying for almost 2 years now. Gaians were put into the game as nothing but underdeveloped space filler.
I know I get touchy when people who don't play Gaians proceed to think they know how to define them given the horribly lacking base of info about them, ( & yes I do rant about it offsite alot) but it's mostly because out of the 2 characters I play, the Gaian character- his faction, his living environment, his ideology, his quirks, ticks & choice of breakfast foods take up about 90% of my character development time...I know the Gaians very, very well & it's just in my nature to get uppity when outsiders swoop in trying to tell me what's what about them. I'll try to lighten up, but I make no guarantees.
All in all, I gotta remember that the slogan 'be careful what you wish for, else you may get it' is very true. My goal from the very beginning has been to try my best to flesh out the faction & expand 'em. It was real easy for well over a year because the only other long standing consistant Gaians on the server I can name off the top of my head besides myself were (& still are) Ophiuchi & Jinx.
Here's the ironic thing though: now that the Gaians are developing, growing their number & getting attention, I'm basically starting to get what I wished for, & the other slogan that pops in my head alot lately is 'If all of your wishes are granted, most of your dreams will be destroyed.'
I just have to adapt better to the nature of the beast & lighten up more I s'pose.
