I hope this neural relay finds you in good spirits.
I have a request of you. Do you find yourself capable of expeditioning to Knossos to retrieve "Xeno Relic" samples? Particularly samples from within the structure.
As part of our talks regarding experience, I believe this to be an ample situation for you to learn a bit more about the sector we reside in. Take the Eidolon as your temporary post of operations, utilize stealth and return via the Jump Drive system with the samples. Do not engage with suspects. Get the samples, and get out.
I would come with you for guidance, but I fear for my state, I require more rejuvenation than initially assessed before making such a trip. I believe you will adapt suitably without my help. The main hive, in theory, shouldn't notice you there.
Oh one final note, if in the incredibly unlikely circumstance that Harbinger shows up, try to be respectful. And most of all, under no circumstance, should you panic. He may try to tease you, but keep your mind on the task at hand.
You merely disturbed a failed attempt at meditation.
Rocks. You couldn't think of a better way to test my patience? A flight pattern through the space vomit known as Puerto Rico, weapons codexing. Star charts? Rocks... very well, beggers can not be choosers.
I will finish my tasks here at the Citadel momentarily, then I will set out for Knossos... and bring back the... rocks without incident and within reasonable time frame.
Rocks? These are more than just a common rock. Raw crystals from a City that you will never be able to behold in such detail ever again. The City is falling. Embrace the moments. See the beauty within their elegant architecture before it fades forever.
But I suppose it will take some time before you see it more than just rocks. There is beauty in most things, and perhaps I am a little saddened by your distance, but so be it.
I hope the trip provides you with a meaning of clarity and purpose, witness why we dedicate ourselves to science and knowledge. You will be one of the few who sees the place more than just alien mush with our knowledge banks. Perhaps take a trinket with you for sentimental purposes.
I had initially suspected the ruins to be in orbit of the the planet you named, upon arrival however I found weaponry platforms still surprisingly active, scans suggested the ruins I sought lie within the planet's atmosphere. The duty I was beholden to was simple retrieval of xeno ruin samples. My eyes were met with a dark abyss filled with small slivers of light, and a complex larger than even some of Gallia's shipyards.
The beauty of the atmosphere alone reminded me of my home, though I must admit my opinion of the architecture was not changed. It is alien to eye, simple, but with inner complexities aplenty. I suppose I lack the taste required to appreciate such structures. I took 115 xeno relic samples into the Eidolon's hold before returning to Inverness. Where the Eidolon received an... interesting hail from one John Silverstone. I conversed with him for a time before retiring the Eidolon to her port.
I kept a small fragment of the ruins as you suggested, I will keep it with me until I can learn how to appreciate such a thing.
