Christian Luther was born on 1. August 798 A.S. on New Berlin.
His Father Sebastian worked for Daumann Heavy Construction on the Ring as a mechanic and electrician, keeping the station alive and running.
Gutlinde Luther, his mother meanwhile took care of raising Christian.
The war of 800 A.S. had a big impact on the small family.
While trying to repair a damaged plasma array on the Ring in 802 A.S. a sudden discharge hit his Father and he lost one of his arms as it was severely burned and had to be amputated.
From there the downfall began. DHC not too keen to keep paying any salary to "unproductive" workers was quick with declining any claims for
money that the Luther family had made.
Only paying the minimal amount possible.
His mother Gutlinde, overwhelmed with the situation and unable to bear the sight of her husband every day, started taking cardmine.
Just small doses at first but soon drifted into an uncontrollable addiction and had to be taken to hospital by police forces in 808 A.S.
Christian and Sebastian had to live on the cold and unwelcoming streets of New Berlin for a few years.
His father Sebastian begging on the streets for a few credits every day, while Christian visited the local school.
They were always hungry, always desperate for a warm place to stay during the night.
Most of the homeless shelters being too full to still give them a room.
Christian often wondered if they would see the next morning.
In school, Christian was the typical outsider having no friends at all.
His old and sometimes torn clothing didn't help to better his reputation either.
Though he worked hard to keep up, he more and more fell behind the other kids in his class, even on simple mathematics, which in turn led to him failing class.
Life again changed in 810 A.S. as Sebastian had to be treated in hospital because of a bacterial infection.
His weakened body did not put up much of a fight against the intruders and within days his condition reached the critical point.
As he was aware that he would not make it out of the hospital bed again, he sent word to Cambridge calling for his older brother Lutz.
Lutz, a professor at the Cambridge university at that point, did not think twice when receiving the call of his brother.
Within days he arrived at New Berlin and took care of Christian.
Together they moved into a nice apartment in the New Berlin residential area and Lutz began to work for the University of New Berlin.
Christian had finally made it through the rough times, with plenty of food and enough time for school work every day.
New clothes without holes or dirty patches raised his spirit and also his self-esteem.
He finally made friends with some of his fellow students.
With a new energy and his friends, he managed to get his grades back up and became second of best in the entire class.
817 A.S. rolled around faster than imagined and the tension between Liberty and Rheinland erupted into a full-scale war.
University was paused to feed more of the young men into the Rheinwehr to defend the "Vaterland".
Unwilling to let Christian fight and die his Uncle instead got him into a factory producing much-needed war goods.
He remained there until the conclusion of the conflict in 823 A.S.
After this Christian could finally turn his eyes to university.
The first semester was fun with most of his friends still being with him but soon they began to drop out of university.
Some searched for a better life working for large companies like ALG, Kruger, or Daumann.
Others joined up with the rebuild "Rheinwehr".
Lutz and Christian were caught totally off guard when the Rheinland civil war began.
He and even his uncle quickly joined the federalist side of things and began to organize speeches and demonstrations on New Berlin,
demanding the stop of bloodshed.
Finally, also this war was concluded and in the aftermath of it, all Christian found a new purpose.
Never again should Rheinlanders die by weapons of their own.
He wanted to finally reunite his homeland. Looking for a better future for all Rheinlanders alike.
Christian decided that the place with the greatest chances to fulfill his vision was the Marinenachrichtendienst.
While his uncle tried to convince him to stay at university instead, Christian quickly filled out the application form and waited for an answer.
