Biographie ✹Early life and service in The Council
Born in a destitute family on Marne, in Champagne, the early years of Chloé were largely uneventful. Most of the time was spent either studying or playing alongside her friends. As she was born in the middle of the Council, she became aware from her teenage years of the ruthless Royal Navy and of the atrocities commited by the Monarchy.
After finishing the studies on, she enrolled in The Council's Academy on Marne and graduated as an intelligence officer, althought she still held significant training in space operations, be it commanding fighter squadrons or larger groups. Her first assignments were mainly escorting missions throughout Champagne, as these were deemed the safest. Slowly yet surely, she rose through the ranks and was given more difficult tasks.
In 732, The Council prepared for increased patrols and raised the amount of raids and incursions done into the Monarchy's space, more specifically in Burgundy. She was redeployed to Burgundy whilst one of these raids took place, on Macon. For Chloé, Macon Base became her home. The following years were spent on the station gathering information about the Royal Navy's movements and preparing several other major raids.
As the war continued, in Bretonia, after the New London Blitz failed to make any progress, the hardline royalists turned onto their weapons of mass destruction to win the war. This premise was a short-sighted one, however it was carried out and resulted in the Glassing of Leeds. As these events unfolded, The Council made their final moves and prepared to destroy the remnants of the Royal Navy still stationed in Gallia proper.
✹Confederacy Era
The war finally drew to a close in 742 with the armistice between Duke Trintignant and The Council's forces. Chloé, along with a few other operatives, were sent to Ile-de-France, on Melun, now the main base of the intelligence agency of Gallia.
Despite the relative peace following the removal of the Monarchy from power, a new threat arose for Gallia, as Kusari invaded just several months later. Henriette, now a veteran of the past conflicts and an experienced intelligence officer, was sent urgently onto the frontline to organize the defences and plan counter-attacks when possible. The units in the field, however, were in a dire situation and lacked much of the heavy equipment needed to stop the Kusari onslaught.
In other sectors of the front, the situation was better; The Duchy possesed the biggest fleet and had the majority of the modern warships of Gallia. Chloé proved a veritable commander however even with reinforcements, the Republique fleet failed to hold the Kusari warships at bay and was routed in a last large offensive by the KNF. The remanants of the Republique fleet retreated to the Ile-de-France jump gate, where they set up a defensive perimeter. During this time, the KNF bombarded and destroyed Fourchambalt Shipyard, alongside several other stations in Languedoc.
✹Into the Maquis
With the arrival of the Royal Enclave back into Gallia, and following the last offensive of the war, conducted by the KNF against the Republique and Enclave fleets, resulting in a victory for the Gallic forces, the Union was proclaimed.
Chloé and several dozen other OCI operatives, being former Council members, would not agree to serve once more under the leadership of Enclave members. They all agreed upon this and together with a small number of Defense Forces personnel, set off into the Maquis-controlled territory. Once there, they surrendered to the Maquis commanders and requested to be enrolled into their forces. This request was largely accepted, and Chloé started working as an intelligence officer for the Maquis cause.
Despite having different views on the royalists, Chloé strongly believes that the Bureau and the National Intelligence, control Gallia itself. Fighting the puppets of the regime is not a task either of the newly-arrived OCI members prefer, however it is a necessary one to overthrow the Bureau from power and bring Gallia under a democracy-like system, seen in the times of the Confederacy.
