Well eh.. ive been interested in the scras roleplay for some time now but seeing as ive been told that they are full i decided to hey why not make a Russian merc/freelancer that loves to help them and there Rhineland unlawful allys?.

My question is whether they shoot mercs or freelancers on sight or not. If i decide to make a new character it will most likely have a red hessian ship or civil ship with hessain weapons or similar to that.

Also any links to major scra roleplay would be awesome

Ive had enough of disco for now. I might be back at the next mod release.

I would think they do. Mercenaries and Freelancers are the epitome of capitalism. Doing something for money (at least Mercenaries). I would suggest a different ID if you want to fly with them. Freelancer or Pirate might work, not Mercenary. At least, that's what I would think.... Not part of the SCRA.

My guess is that they think mercenaries are worse. Mercenaries are hired to kill people for money. Freelancers work for money, true, but might do so in more peaceful ways - a freelance trader or trader escort, a courier, a miner, an explorer.

They've outright stated that they despise mercenaries for the exact reason outlined, but I never got a response when I asked how they felt about freelancers.

We let freelancers usually, because, well, they are the closest things to civilians after all. A freelancer does not necesarly make up a living out of murdering people (unlike the mercenary).

The thing coalition hate about mercenary is that they profit from people by killing others.
A freelancer is on the other hand, the closest thing you have to a civilian.

that makes it a bit confusing as to what id i should use. Ive been told they shoot pirates as well. triple meh

Freelancer seems like the best choice

Your best bet is freelancer ID. Or maybe IMG or some of rheinland unlawfulls, since those are neutral to us.

But I will warn you that its very likely you will be shot instead of alowed to fly with us. (its not a threat, its just what usually happens)
