Welcome to the Deterrence Operations Centre. I am Commander Multannus Cerratus and if you are here, it means that you are a proud member of one of the best and finest forces in the Corsair Imperio. The Deterrence Vanguard.
Here you will find a range of missions that can be accepted at any time. Each of these missions will need at least one other member of the Vanguard to help you, they cannot be completed alone. However, the rewards are good and the prestige is second to none.
This place is not where you will find the acclaim and glory of our bounty board, this is the basis of our continued dominance over the Omicrons and the backbone of our plans to expand the Imperio. These are jobs that must be completed, often multiple times, to ensure things stay finished.
Description Nobody likes an escort mission, they are boring, repetitive and slow. However, they are completely necessary. DTR is constantly moving goods and is always in need of resources.
Escort one or more DTR transports using any combat ship up to a gunboat class all the way to their destination and back if applicable. We have a lot of enemies out there, be prepared to give up everything to ensure these vital supplies make it through.
Mission Details
Reward:
Your reward will be about 10% rounded of each escorted transport's profit. The bigger the convoy, the bigger the payout.
Risk:
This mission implies medium risk and usually has a low chance of encountering hostiles.
Bonuses:
You are permitted to claim bounties for any eligible targets terminated in the course of this mission.
Additional 5 million credits if the forum form at the bottom is used and a message dump report is posted.
Description The Imperio has an enormous reach. Most of this area is overpopulated by enemies. Grab a wingman and get out there to ensure our borders remain safe. We currently need patrols in all our active systems. Your goal is to travel along a predefined patrol route and investigate anything out of the ordinary, before reporting back to the Operations team.
Details
Fly to each jumphole in Omicron Gamma and ensure there is no suspicious activity. Complete the patrol at the Sanctum at Crete.
Remember to scan all transports to ensure they are complying with the laws of the Imperio and that they have paid their "taxes" where applicable.
Details
Fly to each jumphole in Omicron Xi and ensure there is no suspicious activity. Check on Planet Knossos while you are at it. Complete the patrol at the Syros Shipyard.
While this is our home system, due to the persistent attacks from Rheinland, Outcasts and Core, we have upgraded the difficulty of the mission to Medium.
Remember to scan all transports to ensure they are complying with the laws of the Imperio and that they have paid their "taxes" where applicable.
Details
We need some forces to check on our interests in Omega-48. Between the melting pot of Bretonia, Core and the Coalition in this system, we need to stay updated as to what is going on out there.
Fly out to Casablanca Base in Omega-48 and check on both them and Battleship Athos. Then check on Gran Canaria to ensure that the damn Tea-drinkers and Potato-eaters are still staying out. We have a small, half-frozen settlement on the planet, try to land a smaller craft there and check on them.
After that, do a quick fly buy of the Coalition forces around Planet Tangier, see if you can spot any unusual movement. Keep to a safe distance, we want reports, not funerals.
Include in the report any details, including whether the outposts require any additional resources.
Our ongoing war of attrition with the Hessians in Omega-5 has always taken a toll on both our pilots and our resources. Fly yourself out to Cadiz in Omega-5 and check on their status.
As this ongoing war with the Hessians has been going on for too long, so we need a patrol to ensuring that they spread no further, so go sneak your way to the Hessian's Ronneburg Base. Observe them for any unusual activity then return.
Finally, ensure that nothing unexpected is coming through the major jumpholes.
As always, check on any transports you find and ensure that all "taxes" are paid up where applicable. Be polite about it, offer them an escort out the system if necessary. We want them to feel like the valued customers they are.
This is a hairy situation. To date, we have failed to make any progress against the Gas Miner Guild's grip of steel on the Sigmas. We never seem to be able to find the slippery bastards in all those gas clouds. Still, that doesn't mean that we haven't made any headway at all. The Imperio has managed to make three major positions in the Sigmas and we need you to check on all of them.
Start by checking on Petra Outpost in Sigma-15, they have frequent run-ins with the Core forces in the area.
Then make your way to Sigma-17, where we are fighting our frontline battle against GMG. Battleship Barcelona has hidden itself away from the regular GMG patrols and is launching regular ambush strikes against our enemies, so head there and check to ensure they are still doing fine for supplies.
Finally make your way over to Lagos Depot in Sigma-13, deep in the gas clouds. This depot is where we store any goods we have liberated from the GMG scum. Check their supply levels and report.
Petra Outpost - Sigma-15
Battleship Barcelona - Sigma-17
Lagos Depot - Sigma-13
Report back to any Corsair base (inc. Lagos)
Each mission requires a time-stamped screenshot for each Jump Hole and/or any vessels encountered.
Mission Details
Reward:
Omicron Gamma - 5 million credits
Omicron Xi - 8 million credits
Omega-48 - 8 million credits
Omega-5 - 5 million credits
The Sigma Tour - 6 million credits
Risk:
Patrols are there to glean information, not to fight frontline fights. While you are at risk of being discovered and engaged, you are encouraged to alert us to any excessive enemy movement and run for it. Particularly if you are outnumbered or outgunned.
Bonuses:
While active combat with a small force is not encouraged, we will give glory where it is due and will allow the claiming of any eligible bounties whilst completing this mission. Additionally, any "taxes" collected can go towards your personal rum money.
Additional 5 million credits if the forum form at the bottom is used and a message dump report is posted.
Additional Information:
Patrols should always be completed with at least one wingman. This ensures that in the event of an accident, someone will remain who can make the report.
Rewards for pilots injured in the line of duty while their wingman completes the report will still be paid. We of the Corsairs always honor those who fought bravely.
Description This mission is for those of you who fly Transports. Logistics is the key behind every major military action and we want to ensure that ours is the best logistics team out there.
Deterrence and their allies own a number of installations scattered around Sirius. These installations are in constant need of resupply to ensure smooth and seamless operation.
All bases have been configured to ensure that there is a flat minimum profit on the basic maintenance supplies, such as Hull Segments, Reinforced Alloy or Robotic Hardware. However, for those of you who are willing to go that extra step further and team up in a convoy or with an escort to supply these bases, we are willing to provide a further operational bonus on what we would normally supply.
Applicable Bases
Deterrence Sanctum - Omicron Gamma
Reincarnation Outpost - Planet Knossos
Port Tragonisi - Omega-55
Mission Details
Reward:
Extra 5 million credits for every 5,000 units (or 4,450 units, if flying the patriotic Essedarius) of maintenance commodities delivered to the base.
Risk:
Logistics is a lonely and boring task, but still comes with a low risk of encountering enemy forces. We of operations suggests finding an escort or forming a convoy for additional safety.
Bonuses:
Base supply missions come with an additional 5 million credits if the forum form at the bottom is used and a message dump report is posted. Any escort in formation is entitled to claim the "Escort" mission.
Additional Note
Base supply missions, like all missions, can only be collected if you are flying in a team with another DTR member.
Description Our bases don't just require maintenance supplies, we also rely on them to provide an economic advantage to back our war efforts. Harvest relics for Reincarnation, or loan your services to one of our allies to help supply mined resources, while gaining a flat bonus.
Mining operations usually require teams for the best efficiency. However, in a pinch, with the right ship and setup, this can be completed alone.
Ores are already competitively priced at all bases and no extra reward will be given for this mission. However, care should be taken to negotiate the splitting of the profit between any miners and transports.
Risk:
Mining is a profitable, low risk/high reward activity. Chances of a hostile encounter are usually low.
Bonuses:
There are no special bonuses associated with this mission, due to the significant rate of payout. However, an additional 5 million credits will be paid if the forum form at the bottom is used and a message dump report is posted.
Additional Note
Please do not hesitate to ask for help from the Deterrence staff when setting up a new mining vessel.
Description No nation can exist alone, not even the glorious Imperio de los Corsarios. As one would expect, we have a number of powerful allies that we endeavor to strengthen our relationships with.
As such, we need you, the powerful pilots and captains of the Deterrence Fleet to represent us on the front lines.
Team up and work together with any of our allies in order to strengthen diplomatic ties. It does not matter what you are attempting to achieve, as long as you further our mutual goals and make a good impression before lodging your report to the Operations team.
Unlike other missions, this one is heavily dependent on the effort you put in to strengthening our efforts. As some of our allies may be ...nervous... around us, it is permitted to complete this type of mission without a DTR wingman.
Mission Details
Reward:
Rewards for this will vary heavily depending on the results of the final report submitted to Operations. They can range from a minor cash reward for assisting or co-operating with our allies missions or combat, all the way up to massive payouts, glory and promotions for those who manage to truly cement our diplomatic ties.
Risk:
This activity contains a very high risk of an outside encounter. Expect to face combat from hostile forces and be wary of enraging our allies, as this may result in punishment from the High Command.
Bonuses:
Unless deemed otherwise by High Command, all eligible bounties may be claimed while performing this mission.
Description If we Corsairs claimed to be the second best ship builders in the Omicrons, then none would have the guts to claim to be first. Probably because our Murmillos blew a hole through their stomachs, Ha!
However, it is not easy to remain at the head of the curve. Constant supplies of research information are required for us to maintain our technological edge. As such, DTR actually has science vessels who will occasionally go out to perform research and testing in remote regions of space, away from prying eyes. These ships are our major source of Scientific Data and require escorting. However, they are not the only source of scientific data.
Data can be stolen off our enemies, reclaimed via combat missions or snuck out of a battlefield. As such, I hereby request any and all Vanguard to collect scientific data and safely store it in the Sanctum, gaining a flat bonus for every X units delivered on top of the delivery fee. This is not an easy mission to complete, as you must collect and keep safe the data until you have enough to make it worthwhile for our researchers.
The bonus, however, is that this is a never-ending mission and I don't care how many of you are teamed up for this, or if you are doing it solo.
Mission Details
Reward:
Escorting and assisting a Science Vessel will net you 5 Scientific Data per 150 Anomaly Scanner Batteries supplied.
An additional payout of 3 million credits will be granted for every Scientific Data handed over to the Deterrence Sanctum, including rewards granted by our science vessel. Remember to save and hand in your delivery receipt [time-stamped screenshot] to claim this bonus from Operations.
Risk:
Scientific Data can be obtained from Bar Missions, Battlezones and random encounters as well as researched by science vessels. Due to the combative nature of type of collection and vulnerable nature of the research vessels, the risk is considered Medium to High that you will attract hostile attention.
Bonuses:
All eligible bounties can be claimed while doing this mission. An additional 5 million credits if the forum form at the bottom is used and a message dump report is posted.
Additional Note
The escort mission cannot be claimed separately when escorting a DTR Science vessel as the reward is the data, not cash.
Description Our ship building superiority needs both parts and technology to remain at its best. The best way to obtain more parts is to capture and safely bring a ship back to one of the Corsair shipyards. First and foremost, this could grant us a possible chance to refit and use this vessel for our own ends. However, even if we cannot refit, we can definitely recycle.
Any captured ship is a valuable resource in the expansion and maintenance of our fleet.
This mission can technically be completed alone, but the chances of success are slim-to-none.
Your report to Operations should include:
A record of all dialogue between the vessels.
A delivery receipt from the Corsair shipyard [Time-stamped screenshot]
Mission Details
Reward:
Proof of any vessel captured in RP and escorted safely to a Corsair shipyard will net a reward of 50 million credits.
Operations and High Command reserve the final say on whether the ship may be "converted" for DTR usage. Ships incompatible with Corsair technology may be not be converted.
Risk:
As you are attempting to capture an enemy ship, this mission is automatically considered Very High Risk. Do not expect things to go your way.
Bonuses:
There are no bounties for capturing a ship, however if the ship is not a transport, then eligible bounties may apply should the capture fail and the ship be destroyed in the process.
Capturing a ship is a Roleplayed event. Most of the "battle" will happen in dialogue between the ships as the crews battle it out. If a snub wishes to attempt to capture a vessel, they must be aware that they are merely one person per ship.
Please remember that Corsairs do not engage in human trafficking and all crew captured in RP should be released safely.
Other players who agree to be captured for the sake of RP, do not automatically join DTR (though they are welcome to apply), nor is their ship lost to them. They are released and allowed to carry on their regular RP and activities. DTR members who participated in the capture should remember to thank everyone for their participation.
After a captured ship has been released, they should be exempt from pirating for a period of time as a thanks for being a good sport. No bounties will be paid against that ship during this exemption period.
If High Command decides that the ship can be "converted" despite the original vessel belonging to another player, then a ship of the same model will be obtained and rewarded to the player who High Command declares contributed the most, or released as a shared DTR vessel.
If the capture is an inRP "event" to explain a Corsair in their personal captured transport, then the conversion will be automatically approved provided the tech is compatible and there are no diplomatic issues, but the mission reward will be reduced by a factor of 100x to account for a "willing" capture.
If High Command deems or discovers that a person is meta-gaming to capture ships and claim the reward, then they reserve the right to reject handing over the reward, or even administer a punishment, up to and including expulsion from DTR.
Description Rally the Vanguard, gather the Aspirants and sound the horns of war!
The reason that we of Imperio de los Corsarios are the best, is our powerful fleet, cutting edge technology and skills on the battlefield.
As such, gather together your hombres and launch a pre-emptive strike force deep into enemy territory. Capture and hold this enemy territory while our Marines take the time to loot and decimate the local forces. You must remain there long enough for our troops to complete their work, without being defeated or retreating.
Because of the scale of this mission, every single participant will receive a reward upon its successful completion.
We have any number of enemies you can raid, however special attention will be given to the following:
Outcasts
Rheinland
Bretonia
Core - Discussion Pending
Nomads in Omicron Major
Mission Details
Reward:
Put together a sufficient strike force of at least three people, with at least one capital ship to lead and hold a system without dying or retreating for at least 30mins. This mission would require a time stamp on arrival screenshot, time stamp on leave screenshot. The reward would be 20 millions per 30 mins of sitting in enemy space uninterrupted. This can be combined for a total of 1.5h (or 60 million per person) maximum with a two mission limit of this type per week for an individual.
Risk:
This mission is considered extremely high risk. Smaller groups will almost certainly get an enemy response.
Bonuses:
This mission comes with the "Corsair of Honour" bonus. If the raiding party engages the enemy with equal numbers or equivalent firepower then High Command may choose to pay a bonus of X,000,000sc to each participant.
Some bounties may not be eligible to claim when completing this mission, Operations and High Command reserves the right to decide whether a bounty claim is valid or not during an Incursion.
Additional Note
At least three vessels with one being a capital ship of at least Cruiser class is required to complete this mission.
There should be communication logs from during the incursion presented at the time of the report.
Where bounties are deemed applicable, all bounty board requirements must be met.
While overwhelming your enemy with superior numbers is a time-honoured Corsair tradition, these incursions should be kept as sportsmanlike as possible. This means giving your enemy warning if you are going to overrun them with numbers and grant them the chance to retreat. This, of course, will nullify the bonus.
