I had dusted off old Freelancer to try out some ancient mods like 88 Flak, and before I knew it I ended up back here!
I'm a returning player from about ~5 years back of no great significance, spent most of my time with Rheincops doing day to day patrols, getting dunked by Wesker and his Hessians in my Phantom, arguing up and down with smugglers and generally vibing in my favorite House, it was great fun! I also did a lot of moonlighting with the Bundschuh and was in DWR for a short time before RL got busy and being in an official faction made the game lose its luster for me personally, due to all the paperwork on top of uni stuff.
I'm hoping to just ease back into things and sightsee, set some small roleplay goals and focus on fulfilling those without going too crazy, maybe actually logging my RP here on the forums for once to have some record of it. I always struggled to engage with that out-of-game part of Discovery without some obligation to years ago, so it could be fun to try.
