Legendary "Atlantis" class Carrier Argonaute bolsters the First Armada's arsenal 19 April 830, New York
Mythical Carrier returns to duty
The First Armada always seeks ways to bolster its offensive capabilities. We attempt to do so in bold and modern ways, breaking the envelope and often raising some eyebrows. Even we are however not immune to the rich history of the Liberty Navy. And when you can do just that - make history part of you, all reservations are put aside. We could hardly believe our eyes when we saw it - the long-term flagship of the late Fleet Admiral James Horatio Creed himself just lying idle in drydock, collecting dust. And that ship is the legendary Argonaute.
Fleet Admiral James Horatio Creed was a legendary if sometimes controversial figure (due to his immense passion) of the Liberty Navy. He founded and almost singlehandedly built up the Liberty Navy Strike Force which he later renamed the Fourthy Sixth Fleet. He is one of the most successful officers in Liberty Navy's history, being the mentor of our own Admiral Blake Wayne Van Leer for many years. He has trained countless Naval Officers who remain prominent figures of the Navy to this day, and his legacy has our utmost respect.
His passion will never be forgotten, even long after his apparent passing. And that passion has always been represented by his symbol of pride, the Argonaute.
The 1st|LNS-Argonaute rises
As the vessel has been out of action for many months at this point since its legendary Admiral was lost, it was in dire need of sprucing up. The Liberty "Atlantis" class Carrier has been at Norfolk shipyard getting all the care it needs. New Heavy Mortar Launchers were installed, and vital maintenance has been undertaken.
The engineers working on the ship have been overheard talking of a strange atmosphere aboard the mythical vessel. It's almost as if the ghost of James Horatio Creed himself was still haunting the corridors.
