Can you elaborate as to whether this means they're intended to be gone? Having actually flown now to see Bautzen it's apparently meant to be destroyed (Replaced with a Wreck), but this leaves Bielefeld in Limbo.

Bielefeld was removed as far as I'm able to tell. Removing the market entries and the like will be done in a hotfix.
If the base doesn't appear in the game as a dockable solar the base is gone, any vestiges left over such as an invisible base players undock from if they were docked or it flagging on flstat because some mentions were not fully removed is just an oversight.
