Type: Systems
Bug: Docking with jump holes in Copernicus has a chance of entering a looping docking sequence without jumping
====================

Reproduction Steps:
  • Go to Copernicus
  • Dock with any jump hole (unstable or intra-system)
  • Enter docking sequence and watch your ship fly right through the jump hole, turn around on the other side, and try again. Loop infinitely
  • Disconnect to escape the nightmare

Additional Information: Not sure if this is specific to Copernicus or whether it might be related to the ship I was using (Draugr). So far it has a 50% chance of occurring.

Edit: Quick docking does not seem to cause this issue, only slow docking.

I couldn't reproduce the bug, in MP or SP. Usually a lag spike can cause this, we'll need more data over time to see if it's occurring to other players.

Not sure if this is related, but this happend to me from time to time since many years with the Neph, stork, LABC, well big ships... sometimes it stop in the JH, some times when it try again it worked but that's rarely the case.

I have been to copernicus and use the JH to the same system once, no problem with +200ms of ping

This is lag related. Just F1 while stuck in the sequence and reconnect, and that fixes it 90% of the time. It also happens with gates.

I've had a separate report recording said issue, sadly was also unable to replicate despite numerous attempts.

Quick update: A piece code of code that looked like it would be responsible for this behavior has been found and patched up. Moving to fixed.
