I contact you today in response to the crowing discontent with the crew concerning the choice to join the Corsairs. While my own feelings on the matter remain grateful towards DTR for giving us aid when we, however being the captain of the Montana I must take the opinions of my crew under consideration. I have been in contact with your allies in the Order Blackfeet and they have shown interest in taking in the Montana. I believe the remaining insurgent crew will be more open to working with the Order. However, given that the Order are your allies I believe that we will still be able to assist with DTR.
However, I do not want to leave the battlegroup in any bad terms. In light of his we have come into contact with another Insurgent ship called the INS Helena. It is a Battlecruiser but with the new modules of Battlecruisers coming out I would classify the Helena as a heavy Cruiser now. The captain of the Helena, Captain Avery Simmons, expressed some willingness to take the Montana's spot. The Captain of the Helena is far more experienced then I and has more intermate knowledge of the Liberty systems. If it DTR command wishes I will pass along the word to Captain Simmons.
I understand that this might be seen as a betrayal to DTR command and that I should bring my crew to compliance. Yet I also respect the opinions of my crew and their has been a significant increase in distain for our new Corsair crew members. As of now the tension on the Montana is coming to a head and I would rather avoid any and all blood shed between Corsair and insurgent crew members. Such is why I believe having the Montana, and her crew, transferred to the Order will be the best outcome for all parties. The Order will sponsor us to a Zoner shipyard where we will finish the refit we could not complete in Gamma. From there it is the Order's plan to let the ship lay low for a while before transferring it to Order space. This might also be a time for DTR to make another deal with its Order allies as the Montana is a DTR aligned ship at the moment.
But that is not for me do decided, we await your reply.
The Commissariat had deliberated about your plans for the past few days. We've reviewed the contract you have signed and came into the conclusion that you can use the Order's infrastructure and build your own diplomacy with them.
However, we will not allow a full transfer of command to the Order without a hefty cost. The Empire has spent a lot of creditos rescuing you and your crew from execution. It will not be economically viable for the Empire to allow your transfer.
About this captain "Avery Simmons" - Send him towards Crete, but he must be escorted at all times. We'll find a way to appropriately incorporate him and his crew.
If you're so inclined on transferring yourself to the Order, you better set a deal with them in exchange of technology, credits, or anything else valuable. Do this and we might just allow you.
If you don't, you will be replaced by a captain that is more aligned by our ideals and better suited to control their own crew.
We have begun negotiating with our covert supplier contacts to begin moving supplies and other goods to Crete to compensate the Corsairs for the add they have given us thus far. We will also temp to convince the Order to increase alliance commitment to DTR but I not expect much to come of this. Until then The Montana will redeploy to the Omegas as recent change in fleet movements and viable jump holes has been changing. We will report on happenings in the Omegas as we find them.
We ask for a list of that DTR wants on our contacts to get for the Corsairs Empire. Our covert suppliers are beginning to gather and I would like to put together a supply list and plan before their next summit.
