The reserves of Earl Grey and Darjeeling are plenty. I'll put something on for you, I expect this will be a lot to think about.

If you do lay eyes on any Sunbucks coffee on your way back, though, snap it up for me. Black tea simply isn't the same. You can lose the complimentary donuts, unless you're fond of chewing on little plastic hoola-hoops. LFDA health officials were either fast asleep or sufficiently bribed on that product review.

Our Excursion

I wanted to say thank you for accompanying me. That place has become an odd kind of home away from home to me, and not being alone on the trip to revisit it after so many years of struggle, that was more of a balm than I'd expected.

And not only because of the risk of being shot at. I hope that it was a bit enlightening, altogether.

[The pioneer smiles more with her eyes than her serene little grin, but it's the brightest she has looked in a while.]

You might also like to hear that I'm finished giving Orrin a hand. He's left an open arrangement on the table to shuttle Canarian Shipwrights components out to resellers and service techs across the sector, which the Dandy is suitable for. Off-the-cuff trips to shipyards or shady pickups have seen their end. Those was starting to make me a touch nervous.

His offer sure makes for a nice fallback, but I think in the meantime, I still have too much catch-up to do understanding how Sirius and the jump connections have changed after the Pulse. Being stuck on your feet for most of it definitely keeps you out of the loop. You're free to take that arrangement from me if you wish, so long as you don't mind spacing still. The Skyline might be just a bit cramped for that sort of work, however. Mm, just thinking out loud.

Well, now that that's all done, I've taken a short trip back up towards Barrier Gate. I'll be sharing a moment with Sean Goodman, another old colleague. How about you? Any word from our mutual acquaintance? I've heard nothing since I suggested he make himself scarce, which I hope is a good sign.

[Rebecca was propped up on a rather comfortable looking queen size bed, the dimmed light coming from the lamp that appeared to be sat on a nightstand on the left frame of the camera and the strap that might look quite like the one from Rebecca's go bag usually kept aboard the Skyline. Suggesting that she had just arrived at her current lodgings before she decided to record this message. Yet, despite that fact, a cheeky grin was currently splashed across her face, something that had become an increasingly rare sight on her face these last few years.]

Now, I don't know why you'd think you had to thank me for that when we both clearly have benefitted from that little trip, even if I have to admit I feel like I came back from it with more questions than anything else.

[Her grin grew even bigger, as her voice took on an ever increasingly playful and teasing tone.]

Annnnd, even if something along the lines of gratitude or anything of the type was believed to be owed. Which they aren't might I emphasise once again. In a certain someone's eyes, they might just say that piece of good news you just brought might be the sort of thing a gal' who was getting worried she might be due a serious conversation with Mister Hart would consider better than anything else aside.

Though that particular gal' might start thinking between yourself, Alex, Ant, Vicks, and even Vincent, all trying to throw employment her way, that there might be some objections to her plans of quiet retirement and enjoying life. Almost as if there was a prevailing opinion that she might be too young to retire.

[She'd giggle before her voice lost it's more teasing and edge and dropped back to a more cheery one.]

Piss taking aside though, anytime Asp, was nice to stretch my space legs as it were. And more importantly congratulations on working off that debt or deal of yours. That sort of news would be the type I'd drink to if I still indulged in that particular vice.

But to answer your question, no word from our mutual associate himself, buuut I did get word through a supposed intermediate supposedly better-equipped for-

[Some of the cheer dropped away from her voice, with the slightest hint of frustration creeping into her voice as she moved onto the next subject amd her free hand came up with fingers mimicing quotation marks.]

-unsolicited visitors.

So, at the moment, it seems it's stand-by to stand-by on my end. But if this intermediate shows her face where I am, I'll know she got the answer from him, and I hopefully will have my part in this little plot quickly wrapped up.

[Her smile returned once more after she fell silent for a moment.]

Speaking of Coronado, story was last I heard, that my little brother rests his head on the Gate these days. On the off chance you cross paths with Jace while you're there, could you do me a favour and make sure he's doing alright?

Oh, and if I'm remembering Goodman as that colony ship captain, right, do, please let me know if he still has that stick up his arse, yeah?

Well hiya, Becky. Ideally, you're in a safe enough place to get this little check-in of mine. How's things? Come across anything that sets you wondering, out there? For my part, it could be better. I spent all that time talking up my Survey Corps position to you, and then it turns out I had to resign. Embarrassing, isn't it? What happened was, we were on the verge of revitalizing Zoner exploration in the Omegas after a few huge finds, but the events in Theta convinced admin to scale back those efforts to focus funds on community defense, until things calm down. Right as we were getting the lay of the land. What that truly meant was redirecting a majority of funds to the Canarian militants, who are essentially daring Bretonia to start another war with us. You know me and what we've been through, I'll stand up to the Houses if I have to, but that... well, I had a "disagreement" over that policy with the leadership. They weren't about to listen to me protest from the rank-and-file, so I said my farewells. I'm still living in Tasarte, but I range out from Canaria a lot further. I'm up towards Liberty again right now. I'll be visiting home - the region I grew up in - if I can manage it. One of the rebels I used to work with on Pinnacle told me it isn't too pretty, but, unfortunately I have mistakes to mend in the House, and it feels wrong to put this off being so close by. Is there anything I can send you from here? Souvenirs, pictures... Detroit arms, augments, Erie antique baseball bat? It doesn't shimmer like in plasmaball, but there's something about the way real timber breathes, you know?
