Okay, I've been out of freelancer for a while, thought I'd come back and play. Turns out Disco is the only thing left any more. So here's what happened. Fresh install of freelancer, fresh install of FLMM 1.31 everything looks good at this point.
So I download disco 4..85 beta 4, and I get an error.
"Access to C:\freelancer mod manager\mod....PILOT_ICONS\bradmiral.3db was denied."
click okay, then...
"unable to extract..."
et cetera.
I'm trying to install on windows vista. If anyone else has gottent simular probems, please let me know a fix.
You need to run FLMM as an Administrator for it to work properly. Vista's been known () to cause issues of this nature.
Also, welcome to Discovery!

I knew it was something simple. Who'da thunk Microsoft would have beefed up security with the new version? Anyway, I'll give it a go when I get home tonight. See you in space!
(BTW, not my first time playing disco. Also played way back in the day when disco first came out and the global server was still around. Ever hear of the AWC?)
