The "U-Korps" is a specialized squadron of the Büro des Marinenachrichtendiensts (BDM) made up entirely of "Oder"-class Rheinland gunboats, called Unterseeboots. Each ship belonging to the U-Korps carries a number ranging from 1 to 999 (eg. BDM|U-95), allowing for easier coordination, identification, and communication.

It was founded shortly after BDM itself was formed to better consolidate the growing number of gunboat pilots within the organization. Currently, the U-Korps fields [CLASSIFIED] combat-ready gunboats, equipped with the latest advancements in Rheinland technology.

Its main purpose is to conduct various efficient, organized operations, including espionage and warfare tactics aimed against factions or even individuals the BDM deems to be dangerous and threatening. They usually act as support units for various operations the BDM generally conducts, but a full squadron of U-Korps vessels are more than enough to overcome any opposition they may face.

Currently, the leader of the U-Korps, since early 834 A.S., is Kommissaroberrat Baldur Schmidt.
