From: Fleet Captain, Harold Sommerville, BAF
Ladies, Gentlemen, officers of the Kingdom of Bretonia, servants of Her Majesty,
I address you today, at this late hour, bringing news that the first steps towards our return to Dublin have been completed. Though I am, certainly, not bringing such news in a timely manner, it is still with absolute certainty that I say: the Kingdom's flag proudly flies within the system once again. It is thus only right that I begin my address by thanking those who have stood by my side, by Her Majesty's, by the people's side.
To those in BMF, in BMM, in Galway, from CEOs, to fresh recruits still believing in the Crown's cause, I extend my thankings not only for the support and aid provided during the battles in Dublin to the Kingdom's finest pilots, but also for the material aid provided towards constructing Lisheen outpost, towards returning Bretonia to her sacred lands. Your sacrifices will most not be forgotten and it is my sincere hope that I shall, one day, fully repay my debt towards you all by serving not only as a representative of Her Majesty's Armed Forces, but as a soldier of Bretonia!
To those valiant pilots who have served in Dublin, in New London, in Leeds: Our time to act is now. My predecessor, as well as the administration of 831 AS and post 831 AS have responded, to the best of their abilities, to the Dublin Crisis, by imposing a blockade upon the system in an attempt to starve off the Molly and Corsair forces within. It is now obvious, several years after, that this has failed miserably and only further exacerbated our economic problems, not only by displaying weakness in a time we must display only strength and unity, but by grinding entire sectors of our fragile economy to a halt. I do not intend to follow in the steps of my predecessors; we shall aim high and strike down the snake's head directly using new technologies that we have the honor of putting to use first-hand.
The coming weeks and months will most certainly not be easy for either of us all, but we, Bretonians, have shown our collective resolve, unity, and adaptability in front of any threats. In spite of the Gallic advance on New London, we held our ground and beat them back. Now, I shall say the same: we will beat back the Mollys! Dublin is Bretonian, now and forever! I have fought shoulder-to-shoulder against these Gallic invaders, I have seen the treachery of the IMG at Aland, I have studied our liberation campaign on Gran Canaria; let it be so known that I intend, in full, to stand here now too shoulder-to-shoulder as we move to retake what is rightfully that of Her Majesty. In line with this: Soldiers, admirals, I order you, stand ready for the liberation of Dublin!
I will close, as I believe is right, by extending our thankings also to our friends and allies in the Great Houses of Kusari, Liberty and Rheinland, for the economic and military support provided. The Kingdom will never forget of the assistance provided in such times and as we collectively look onwards towards a free, open Dublin, we look also towards bringing in a new era of peace and prosperity in the Sirius Sector.
Long live Her Majesty, Queen Carina! Long live the Kingdom!
Harold Sommerville
