The recent analysis of captured research data has provided insights on the technological progress of a cut-off society, namely the Wild in Omega-58. One of them was the complete schematics of a heavy turret, codenamed "NOVASPEAR".
Since their discovery a few months ago, AESIR has determined that this turret fits on battlecruiser-class vessels. Pre-planning, construction, and testing were done over the course of several weeks. During this period, [DATA REDACTED] components were meticulously analyzed and gathered.
Once the prototype was completed, testing commenced. The "Tirpitz"-class battlecruiser Saar was used as the test vessel. Although it used up more energy than other heavy turrets, the plasma generated by each shot was mostly stable up to a range of around three clicks. Eventually, the Kommissariat decided to mass produce the weapon after seeing battlefield successes, but ran into one problem: the schematics.
It was found that the blueprint has an anti-tampering system that has not yet been cracked. Once the blueprint was analyzed by an external machine, it began to degrade into unrecognizability within a few days. Direct cataloguing of the schematics is also impossible, as the [DATA REDACTED] components worked only on an encryption filter present within the blueprint which was not reproducible, and while another blueprint was secured from [DATA EXPUNGED], components from the previous blueprint were incompatible, indicating that the second blueprint contained a different encryption filter and had to be built with the components specified within.
Further research is needed to overcome these issues.
