Idea: Take that various capital turrets, and make versions for each main cap using faction, or at least have a basic varriant.
For example, the kusari have a defense turret for cruiser level vessels, prehaps a basic cruiser/battleship defence turret open to all, as well as faction specific ones for the various cap using factions.

I was refering to the defense turrets for crusiers (kusari only) and the defense turrets for battleships (bretonia only) with 3.03 refire rates, their should be a basic version of this gun, which is basicly between GB/Crusier in damage and rate of fire, but similar range to crusier weapons. Prehaps even other factionilized versions for it as well.
Bretonia Battleship Defense Turret is a so called "Secondary" turret, which has a Basic version.
Kusari Destroyer Defense Turret is a variant of Destroyer Primaries that is specific to Kusari. Why can't some factions have unique equipment? Basic guns are... basic. The Defense Turret is apparently special. Special Basic gun sounds ... not too well fitting to me.
special turrets are special. if you want to use them, go buy a kusari destroyer.
and stop asking for more stuff for your cruiser.
post writing note: i realize that i sound mean here. but really, stop asking for buffs to all the stuff you own. it is almost as bad as asking for nerfs on the things you cant kill.

You could probably compare it to fighter guns speeds/types. Some factions only have on kind of weapons (Liberty Rogues Sammaels, 8.33 refire Laser Type) where as some factions get multiple choices (Liberty Navy Vengeances, 8.33 refire Laser type & Magma Hammers, 2.00 Tachyon type).
It's part of what makes some factions weapons unique, I suppose.
