I am Admiral Sir Jacob McIntire, newly appointed Second Sea Lord of her Majesties Armed Forces. I have served in different capacities during the last decades, most recently as commander of the southern theatre in Bretonia. Maybe some of your will remember me.
In the light of increased political cooperation between our houses I think we are presented with a great opportunity for cooperation.
While politically there have been the occasional tensions, in military matters our houses goals broadly align. That is particularly true for the Omega region.
Both of our forces are tasked with creating a safe environment for civilian economic development and to root out the diseases of piracy and terrorism. In the past these efforts have been hindered by a lack of flexibility in deployment, which has been abused by our enemies.
I propose we build on past cooperation and expand our combined operations in the region. To start with I propose an expeditionary force in the Omega 5 system to gather intelligence on and disrupt the enemies supply lines. From there on we could evaluate further steps.

First of all, congratulations on your newly appointed title. We may or may not have met each other in battle against Corsairs or Hessians before. In any case, pleasure to meet you.

I tend to agree with this proposal. The Omega's have been an untamed place for too long. While we are trying to pacify the area with the Elbe Fortress, piracy still manages to sneak through. So enlighten me Herr McIntire, what type of expeditionary force are we talking about?

thank you for your kind words, I think we have not met yet. I as well am pleased to make your acquaintance.
I am glad to hear you share my sense of opportunity to civilise our southern borders.
Do not be worried about me requesting a large commitment, I do not believe in swatting flies with hammers. Years of fighting against a numerically superior military have taught me the perspective of our enemies and the ease with which a slow and cumbersome fleet can be picked apart in hostile space.
I imagine a more nuanced approach. For the goals of this first expedition a small contingent of fighters and gunboats, along with one or two ships with good sensor arrays should suffice. We just need to stir enough attention to make the enemy react and track that reaction. If we can already disrupt their activities that would be an added benefit.

This sounds like a fair proposal. As a matter of fact we already have a battlegroup based on your proposal stationed nearby in Omega 7. Your fellow men may already know them as they have been aiding your side against the Molly terrorists in Dublin. I will leave that previous correspondence with Fleet Captain Harold Sommerville here for reference.

Said battlegroup consists mostly of lighter support ships, with a very few Donau Cruisers mixed in. I presume these will satisfy your needs for the upcoming incursion. They are standing by and ready to assist on your call.

I am glad to hear you approve of this operation. I am aware of the past cooperation between our houses, thank you nonetheless for providing me with these communications. I have read them with much interest.
To prevent confusion, I do not wish to expand our cooperation by measure of the amount of ships deployed. The goal of me reaching out to you is to develop the working relationship between our two forces further so that the already sizeable commitments we each make to our Omega holdings are used to the best effect.
For the first operation I will inquire if Commodore Beck is able to lead it personally, if not I will assign Commander Graham as leader of the Armed Forces detachment. They will contact your officers in the field.

I hereby formally request the support of Rheinland Military forces in the defence of the base designated as Aland Monument in the Omega 3 system.
Konteradmiral Erich von Richter made that a condition for any support of your forces in this theatre. I personally deem this a rather tedious approach and exactly the kind of bureaucratic hurdle that allows terrorists to flourish in the region. I would propose to, in the future, designate quick response forces in O3 and O7 of either military to be allowed to enter each system for anti-terrorism and -piracy operations without having to pass it by higher ranking channels. The details like the composition and size of such forces could be debated if you are not generally opposed to such a proposal.
On a side note, the first operation in Omega 5 has taken place but has not reached its goals. The Rheinland Military party seems to have been held up somewhere along the way as only one ship arrived to partake. We decided to continue the operation regardless. Once we entered the system we ran right into a battle between Corsair and socialist forces. We were able to inflict some damage but as this was nowhere near a calm day we were not able to track any ordinary emergency responses or supply flight paths as originally planned. I propose a follow-up operation to reach the goals of the first.

I've sent our battlegroup en route to aid in your defense of the Aland Monument in Omega 3. To make up for our lack of manpower in our previous mission, i added a Bismarck Battleship for the defense. I fear it was still not enough however. I suggest you muster your defenses even more. We're regrouping at the Elbe station in Omega 7 if- or rather when the next wave of terrorists arrive. This will help in responding faster to aid your fleet.

When the siege is over, we can continue further plans for pre-emptive strikes in Omega 5.

sadly our defences did not hold on this particular occasion, we did not expect every imaginable troublemaker in the region to descend on this outpost at once. We will be prepared better in the future.
As we speak we are preparing a probing attack in the Dublin system, we would be glad to conduct this operation in cooperation with your forces. I think we can learn much from your officers experiences in the fights for Dresden and the same holds for our pilots. Having some of these veterans at their side will surely give them valuable lessons for the battles to come.
