Admittedly, it has been quite some time since I last contacted any of you - pressing matters on Malta have demanded much of my attention. As you are undoubtedly aware, I have long been interested in obtaining the finest pieces of hardware for my personal vessel, and I have not abandoned this pursuit.
Recently, I have caught wind of a new scanner making a discreet appearance on certain highly restricted markets in Sirius, and I am eager to acquire it. The device in question is known as the Wiretap Scanner, a remarkably costly piece of hardware even for those who can access it.
Therefore, my question is this: For how many credits, should you find the proposition appealing, would you be willing to secure this state-of-the-art technology for me and modify it so that it shares the same I/O interface as the Spyglass Scanner?
The proposition of helping Malta is always appealing.
Your desire does raise questions, though. The Minified Spyglass Scanner boasts a higher target ping range than the Wiretap, which is a concoction of the Order, last I checked. The Wiretap's specialty is cargo scanning range, necessary for cargo interdiction, as the Order likes to maintain a monopoly on Artifacts in Sirius. Last I checked, the Outcasts were well known for their combat prowess. Cargo interdiction is usually left to groups like the Liberty Rogues, Golden Chrysanthemums, and, yours truly, the Lane Hackers. It's not impossible to modify a Wiretap in such a way, but I cannot guarantee that there will be zero repercussions regarding obtaining and using high-level Order tech while not being an ally of the Order.
So, the question: Outside of, perhaps, collectors vanity, what exactly do you need of the Wiretap scanner that the Spyglass or the various allies of Malta do not provide? If it is something classified or sensitive, of course, you need not answer. This is more a question of my own curiosity.

I am well aware of the advantages afforded by a Minified Spyglass Scanner. After all, its stated detection and scanning range is more than sufficient for most users. However, I am certain you personally have also encountered sensor interferences that limit the scanning capabilities of your equipment. Given the relative size and unwieldiness of my personal yacht - especially compared to, for instance, a fighter - I would prefer to have the longest possible scanning range for identifying targets and their configurations, even in the deep nebulae of the Omicrons. It is always prudent to know well in advance with whom or what I am dealing, is it not?
I understand that acquiring such a specialized and likely well-guarded device will be no simple task even for the well connected Lane Hackers. I am prepared to offer 12,500,000 credits for both the acquisition and the subsequent modifications.
