To whoever is running the show over there these days,
Its been a while since Junkers and Hackers have spoken, I hope all is well and the fight against ageira and their pawns is going strong. However I am here looking for some information, a new drug has begun showing up on my stations markets named "Slog". Have you heard anything as to who is producing this stuff? Naturally I couldn't care less about its health impacts I am just trying to find out if this stuff is tied to the Xenos before it gains too much of a foothold in our markets last thing I want is to be aiding those Nationalist nutjobs. I know you tend to be on the leading edge of the underworld in Liberty and we'll informed in the movement of cargo across Liberty and it's border worlds. I figured I'd anyone is going to know it'll be you.
That being said, I suspect this information won't come free, name your price. Cardi? Guns? Straight Credits? I could probably pull some strings and get some high quality tech to "fall off the back of a transport" from Gallia or Kusari.
You would not believe the experience of getting information on this stuff.
First and most important: This stuff is most certainly not tied to Xenos. Judging from what I've seen on the Trade Lane monitors, Xenos have a vested interest in not letting it permeate the markets. I can sell the information related to the reason I theorize for that, but that comes at a hefty price. 1,000,000 for the rumor, 5,000,000 for the documented proof.
As for what Slog actually is, it seems to be a combination of refrigerants and solvents that are pretty common in factory maintenance, blended into an inhalant. I'd need an autopsy to prove it, but judging from some things I see on the suspected ingredients list, I'd say a primary function of it's high is just brain damage. So, maybe worry about the health effects a little.
It's origins are traced to Sprague BMM workers as per most sources, but I've heard a few that attribute it's first appearance to other BMM sites like Redcarr. Nonetheless, it's definitely not a Xenos concoction, though factory workers and other jobs in that tax bracket tend to spawn either nationalists or anarchists. Who specifically produces it is a question for tired, angry BMM wage slaves on Sprague, it seems. If you want to take that road, I wish you luck.
