Due to recent events involving increased Nomad activity throughout the Sirius sector, the personnel of the Hades Brigade have been dispatched to investigate and study the unknown threat and establish the true causes of what is happening.
I hasten to report that the conduct of research and combat operations did not go without complications and incidents. I am sending you a full document of all information about our mission from December 9 to 15 of this year.
The information from the log was transmitted in full to the Eclipse Vanguard command and is currently in storage. Files entered into the document will be updated by the end of this month. The basic information regarding the artifact remains current and unchanged.
I have every reason to believe that the current knowledge of our crew and the equipment we use is insufficient to be effective in xeno-artefact research. In order to gain additional experience and skills, I would like to nominate a candidate in the person of Jinna Leons and Sam Chages. I am requesting their enrollment in an individualized study group for advanced scholarly training in xeno-archaeology and biology.

It is always good to see and hear of new blood in the realm of science. Though, reading through your full report regarding the handling of the Nomad Artifacts and the subsequent effects has caused much concern. As you have been taking the proper procedures to quarantine and take charge of the situation, I think we should be fine. Nevertheless we will be directing elements to assist you with their recovery and certainty that there will be no ill, lasting effects of this. But to your request at hand. Despite the mishandling of artifacts, I can't find fault - administrative errors are definitely our greatest enemy in the OSD, and one we constantly must fight to ensure such problems do not continue. In that vein of thought:
The Science Division is happy to have Jinna Leons and Sam Chages onboard for individualized study and be tutored by our archaeology and biology departments. To say no to willing students will only push back the course of discovery for the Order. My foremost Xenoarchaeologist, Reia Morgenroete, is always happy to assist with the teaching and training of newcomers to her field. With how much we rely on studying artifacts and remnants of the Nomads to better counteract them, every new mind is a necessity. As such, I cordially invite you to either Razgriz Straits Science Complex on Planet Akabt for this study. I hope to see you soon.
For Humanity.

Ellie Hunter.
I bring to your attention that the mission log has been fully finalized and will not be subject to further changes. All artifacts have been placed in the possession of the Dabadoru station chief.
As far as I know, my science officers are already on planet Akabat. I ask you to send them greetings from our Brigade Commanding Officers and wish them good luck in their studying. I hope it will end productively.
I hope we celebrate the New Year at the holiday table and not on the battlefield or while studying the suddenly-announced threat of our alien opponents.
