Tell us your story. I have served for some time now as a Legionnaire under the Legion Maltesa, although you will be aware of this as a former Legionnaire yourself. I sortied throughout the Taus, House Liberty, and the Languedoc system under the callsign 'Windigo', though a great deal of combat experience has also been gained through victories over the Corsairs. Despite this, however, the Legion's presence has grown lesser in Maltese society. I have thus had little use beyond serving as a vanguard for the benefit of more powerful families. The Legion is a drifting shipwreck, and I intend to leave it to whatever power plays supplant it.
I am willing to offer my own service, as well as inform the crew of a Montante-class gunboat under my command to follow me to this end. Dissenters will be left under the Legion's care.
Why do you wish to join La Famiglia di Medici? My services would be difficult to offer to many of the more powerful Maltese syndicates. I have on several occasions engaged and destroyed Core vessels of varying types, in violation of the ceasefire some families hold to. This limits my options, however the Medici family seem to have a clear and achievable goal to raise their own standing. This is enough for me, for the time being.

Tell us your story. I think you already know most of this from our family gatherings, Alessandro, but I'll put it in writing for the public eye. I’m the daughter of your brother Marco. I’ve been a pilot for nearly a decade, primarily escorting Cardamine shipments to Bretonia and back. I’ve seen more than most people in their 30s, fought through hell multiple times, and nearly paid the ultimate price once. That moment came five years ago - a day I’ll never forget. My husband Giuseppe and I were escorting a Dromedary belonging to the di Medici famiglia from Bretonia to Malta after a successful Cardamine run. It was a routine trip; we picked up food rations and consumer goods from Trafalgar before heading home.
Most of the journey was uneventful, until we were ambushed near the Tau-37 jump hole in Tau-23 by a large Independent Miners Guild patrol. Their primary target was the Dromedary, giving Giuseppe and me just enough time to engage the IMG vessels. We managed to destroy at least a dozen of them, but they eventually took out the Dromedary—and with it, our distant cousins Mauro and Mina. There were still a few IMG ships left when I saw my husband’s Sabre torn apart by a torpedo. Heartbroken, but with no other choice, I barely managed to escape in my Stiletto, which was holding together by a thread. I made it to Cali Base, where I received urgent medical care. While being transported to Malta, I was told two life-changing things: first, I had sustained a serious spinal injury, requiring a long recovery period that put my piloting career in jeopardy; second, I was pregnant with my son, Andrea. The news left me devastated and ecstatic at the same time.
Recovery was far from easy - especially giving birth with spine issues - but I took the time off to care for my son with all my heart. During this hiatus, I worked tirelessly to regain my health. Thankfully, Cardamine’s remarkable healing properties played a significant role in my recovery. After four years of staying grounded, focusing on my son, and rebuilding my strength, I’m finally ready to return to space. I may be a bit rusty, but I’m as eager and capable as ever.
Why do you wish to join La Famiglia di Medici? Join? I am already part of the di Medici Famiglia, dear cousin. I simply wish to return to the Famiglia's space operations after recovering from my back injury.

Victor Alesci, the youngest of three brothers, was born in 800 AS into the modest and previously insignificant Alesci family. With limited land or plantations, his father, Leonardo, steered all his sons toward becoming fighter pilots to elevate the family’s standing in Malta. Initially hesitant, Victor found inspiration in his much older brother, Alessandro, who became his mentor and role model.
Victor’s ambition was evident early, as he entered combat sooner than expected. At 22, he achieved his first kill: Andrew Holes, a miner in Tau 37, who underestimated Victor and Alessandro. Despite heavy damage to his ship, a Dagger, Victor returned home a celebrated hero. During the victory celebration, he met Aurelia, who would later become his wife after six years of persistent courtship.
Victor’s success in combat expanded his network, revealing his skill in manipulation. Alongside his brothers, he entered the slave trade, leveraging connections to supply labor while compensating for their lack of plantations. Through boasting and deception, they earned significantly, though the Slave Revolt of 831 AS disrupted their operations, claiming business partners and Alessandro’s life, a devastating loss for Victor.
Now, at a turning point, Victor remains undeterred. Young, ambitious, and driven by Malta’s current turmoil, he sees an opportunity to forge new alliances and establish his future. The time to act is now.

Tell us your story. Furio was born to a ship mechanic’s family on Genoa in Tau-37. His mother worked on base as a mechanic for the Maltese fighter fleet. and his father was a Sabre pilot who oftentimes was escorting Cardamine convoys in the Taus. Throughout the years on Genoa, Furio would take trips with his father to Malta frequently, and as he got older he learned how to both fly and work on the Sabre, the flagship fighter of the Outcast fleet.
In a particularly brutal attack by the combined forces of the Crayter Republic and IMG, Furio had seen many wounded or killed pilots that were brought in by patrols. Enraged by the carnage he had seen, he worked tirelessly with his mother on ship repairs, but was feeling increasingly frustrated at his own lack of combat ability. Due to his parents' connections working on the Maltese ships, as well as his own work ethic, he managed to outfit a Sabre himself with Outcast weaponry he salvaged from the fallen. He was only 22 at the time, but had no major responsibilities, except for the work he did with his mother, and his ever-growing infatuation with Cardamine, the Orange Dream. By this time, he was regularly making trips to Malta himself, and getting more and more adept at piloting his craft. The time in space fueled his ambition to avenge his fallen comrades, and he quickly learned how to survive, and even thrive in the chaotic environment of the Border Worlds.

Tell us your story. Paolo was born in 802 AS, and raised on Malta.
His parents are Cardamine smugglers and Paolo grew up more on the ship than on land.
Ever since he was a child, his dad taught him how to smuggle, and how to protect a convoy.
Paolo quickly began to show talent when he flew together with his dad, after school had ended.
Turning 18 and successfully graduating school, he started to fly his own ship in a group.
By the age of 20, he had flewn within many groups of smugglers and patrol units.
He stood out for being an aggressive defender within the escort when it came to encounters with enemies. His absolute priority was to create distance between the enemy and the convoy.
His piloting skills had grown, and he's eager to step it up to a more efficient way of ensuring glory for Malta.
Why do you wish to join La Famiglia di Medici? We all fight for Malta somehow, a powerful family is what I consider the best way to a glorious Malta. I think I have more impact within a group as to when I fight on my own.
