A few Kishiro players have been talking and have come to the realization that we should have 1 or at most 2 Kishiro tagged Gas Miners in Sigma-19.
I am under the understanding that Kishiro would use this to mine enough H-Fuel for personal use to cut costs to themselves and would not be selling this to anybody else.
It appears that mining rights to Sigma-19 was one of the conditions Kishiro gained for the funding and expertise they provided to the GMG for the upgrades to the system and Gas Miner Ogashawa.
I have spoken with a few of the Guild Masters and they have also agreed.
Before anyone asks I shall print the infocard for Gas Miner Ogashawa to show what it states.
Quote:Gas Miner Ogashawa Sigma-19 Owner: GMG
CLASS: Nostromo
AMENITIES: Limited
CREW: 350
The Gas Mining Guild (GMG) first surveyed the Sigma-19 system in 550 AS and determined that it
was rich in resources -- though far distant from the GMGs usual markets. After intense
negotiations, the GMG signed an agreement with Kishiro to finance a Jump Gate to the system in
exchange for mining rights. Once the Jump Gate was opened in 650 AS, the Gas Miner Ogashawa was
stationed in the system by the GMG and began full-scale operations. The fact that several
Kishiro expert advisors are permanently assigned to the ship and that the Ogashawa provides
support for Kishiro's own mining activities in the system has reportedly not been well received
by its corporate rival, Samura.
Now I believe the best placement for these Miners would be just thrown in with the GMG Miners where we would be taking advantage of GMG security and expertise.
From how I understand it, Kishiro would just be using the HFuel they produce internally to fuel their transports and escorts, and not sell it on the market.

I understand how Kishiro's revenue model works, but having a miner or two would cut transportation costs and expand that profit margin ever so slightly.
EDIT:
Quote:Kishiro sells them to the GMG.
Misinterpreted that. They'd sell their miners to the GMG? Hm...
Indeed Kishiro does sell both high density and low density miners to the GMG, and at a great price too.
But why would Kishiro argue for mining rights and then not use said mining rights to actually mine their own H-Fuel?
And yes Kishiro mining their own H-Fuel for internal use would indeed cut down on the costs while at the same time not be in direct competition to the GMG.
So I must ask why would Ogashawa be supporting Kishiro mining in Sigma-19, and why would Samura be unhappy about this if indeed there was no mining being conducted by Kishiro?
Seems a little odd to me.
Quote:Ogashawa provides support for Kishiro's own mining activities in the system
Seems pretty clear.
However I'd suggest it not be dockable, as Kirosho wouldn't need a large scale mining operation for personal use, and also has the use of Ogawasha. So i'd assume just an ordinary Kirosho affiliated Gas Miner or two would be satisfactory to fulfill this point.
Yes they should be the same standard model high density Gas Miners that we sell to the GMG.
Just like the ones they have all over Sigma-13, 19 and Okinawa.
