The other side may not even offer us anything to switch sides, but would you think this would have more chance of success if I removed that option?

[17:45:39] Wolfs Ghost (Murphy): Tom, you have problems. Go kill yourself.
[19:25:12] Johnny (Jam): Tomtom, I will beat you with a spoon.
[14:22:56] Prarabdh Thakur: KILL HIM WITH A SHEEP.
[17:40:48] Eagle (Junes): Tom should be slapped with a spoon.
[11:32:18] Warspite: Thank you for being so awesome Tom. <3
[18:17:36] Metano: I love you tomtom
[20:06:24] Warspite: I will seriously give you epic head.

Probably yes.
People tend to wonder when they see that. Let it be known un-officially through your actions maybe but otherwise, it's a bit sketchy.

Merc's only really work in RL because they have so many countries and corporations to provide their services. Though Blackwater International recently changed its name to Xe, so that they could continue their contracts in Iraq and so the US didn't have to hire a bunch of new guns or increase troop levels.

The thing that also needs to be pointed out is that when the Bretonia/Kusari War is over and the Rhineland/Liberty Conflict is end is that this Merc company could either assist police forces with pirates, or escort trade companies. Typically though they would want to avoid illegal services since house factions have more power rp wise and thus during peace time you are an escort service for traders.

The idea is sound but Freelancer is to small for it. The BAF would rather recruit new pilots than hire a trained force they had to pay until the end of a contract. After the war maybe like a rl year maybe the Kusari may want to hire your Mercs. The purpose of having this faction is to bolster the size of a house military in a time of need.

Another idea is that this Merc force would be dormant when they dont have a war to fight. They would only come together when a contract was accepted. I had thought of this for a while but these things dont last long.

Have anyone seen Hitman ? For who is "the Organization" working ?

Many changes have to be done, yes. But it can work fine unless everyone is bitching about it.

I made my Bellerophon cause I was looking for any bounty an hunter would never do due to diplomatic problems.

Hunters are high in numbers and are well known from the house military. They are really not appreciated by pirates and then will have anyone against them if they start shooting against the military. But a smaller organization will not suffer that much.

I'd like to take the time to say that Lt. Col. Sheppard is doing a fantastic job responding to community questions and concerns, and scans of the current listing compared to concerns brought up indicate that a lot of them have been worked out.

Now, onto the meat- as a competitor to the BHG, do not expect to be able to use their technology or bases. You appear to have addressed this in your current shiplist, good thinking. This does not mean that you are automatically hostile to the BHG, and considering their reach and power you should be careful about accepting contracts with criminals or the Order. At any rate, who your first contracts are is going to determine the entire shape of your future. As has already been pointed out, once you've made an enemy it will be quite difficult to get on their good side again.

The only concern I have in this manner is the potential of you switching sides- while there may be monetary advantages to doing so, you shouldn't even briefly consider it just because someone else offers a better rate. The hit to your credibility is not to be underestimated- think about what would happen if the Mandalorians took an offer from Kusari against the BAF. Would anyone consider them for long-term contracts, when they've already betrayed one? While people might still trust your efficiency for named, single contracts, you would be very hard-pressed to find an ally ever again. If you were to break a contract and switch sides, you shouldn't even consider an amount less than 500 million credits, and no offer should be accepted without adequate analysis of long term repercussions.

That said, you have the mindset and framework for a very respectable faction. So long as the imported name remains only a name (a la the Mandalorians in their current incarnation) that shouldn't be an issue- there's certainly precedent for it. I highly suggest that until you have a major contract, you refrain from taking any bounties against faction targets. If you keep your business as more of a military-for-hire rather than a simple bounty hunting organization, you have a better chance of finding a niche to flourish in.

I wish you luck, and heartily approve of your efforts.

Thanks for the praise, but I am getting very very few replies to my invitations, infact i've only recieved a reply from Grimly and Derkylos (he actually sent replies for three of his characters, his Coalition character deleted the message, his junker started to reply, and the junkers father passed the message on top the junker, very amusing).

I think that for the moment this idea won't get far, and i'm having a FPS run cos of all the time I spent on FL, so i'm gona leave it for the moment.

Instead i'm gonna make a special role-play character, look out for Amused in game.

Thanks for the great questions and replies guys, when/if I start this up again I will of covered most questions already:D.
