my updates to wiki

Well, I think it might be helpful for many people, to look things up in the discovery wiki.
Well, you don't need to put in the exact locations where you can buy ships, but a list of all ships could be useful.
So you can have an overview. I mean a wiki is a kind of help and library to look things up;)
And, the ship list is out-dated ^^

Just like everything else around here the wiki is run by volunteers. Feel free to colunteer yourself if you want to see it updated sooner.

Well at the moment I'm just discovering Discovery ^^
And so i need time to explore everything.
But I'll feel free to add infos to wiki - as far as they are correct infos - when the time has come and i am
a bit more experienced.

so all day yesterday i went around and got information and added it to the wiki and then today i went around and gathered all the information on the Penn system so i could add it.. but i go back to the wiki and lo and behold someone has went though and deleted parts of the information i have posted...

(i had updated the whole California system)

mainly he deleted the Ships Sold section for every entry (in california) so i am wondering if its some kind of rule (even though you can look though flcompanion to find what ship is sold where) or if i should just undo his changes and work on??? cause im not going to spend my time to update the wiki if people are just going to come through and delete what i do

Just thought I'd address this after some investigation into what you said happened and subsequent posts. I think you have had a bit of an over-reaction to what was done.

We would like you back as a wiki editor to the Discovery Wiki. This is a topic (no specific locations) in our modus operandi, I've never been satisfied with. So, I will ask you Taboo to not lose your cool about this, and remain in the Disco wiki circle. Good things take time, and I (alongside everyone else who wants to join in,) intend on making the wiki the best it can be.

So, please, don't go off in a huff and "make your own wiki," as we need all the hands we can get. Yours is useful and we need you as much as we need Tazurus, or Hack or Boss, or the others. I think we do need the locations, but now is not teh right time to add them. Please come back!:)

well setting up mediawiki is apparently beyond my capabilities however admitting i over reacted is not.

i could have probably reasoned a little more my points before just storming off so to speak

its just that there is a lot of information in discovery and putting stuff in the wiki is not going to ruin the discovery experience because people who do not want to know the information will not look at the wiki.

* To determine which faction a ship or weapon belongs to, first read the infocard of the ship/weapon. If the infocard states the faction owner of the technology, then that may be all you need to know. If the infocard does not state faction ownership, then the technology may be considered to "belong" to the owner of any base where the technology is sold, even if that means it "belongs" to multiple factions. However, technology belonging to factions that are hostile to each other cannot be combined.

OK.. that being said... i already have a list that i made from Fl companion of all the ships and stuff so i am kind of over if that ever gets in the wiki or not

but i will once more begin updating the wiki

I dont think they need sell location for this, just the faction that manufactures and sells the ship, feel free to include that.
