Private Messaging Issues

Hello everyone!

While I am not new to Freelancer, I've only just started getting involved in the overall community, which is quite the community indeed! In my attempts to branch out and network with various factions, I have run into an issue: I cannot send PMs. I have tried thrice - once two weeks ago, again last night, and again a second ago. I recieve the "sending" screen, but my outbox is always empty afterwards, and I never recieve a reply (so I'm not even sure if I can recieve PMs either). I've scrolled through the board controls but haven't found the solution. I was wondering if any of you could help me out? It's probably some small error on my part that I will feel quite stupid about after it is solved.

The outbox doesn't really save outgoing messages, ironically.

And sorry to bring out the possibility, but perhaps noone's answering your PMs.
I'll send you one right now and post here saying if it got to it's target or not.

Seems things are in order after all.

Perhaps the people you were PMing aren't active on the forums at the moment, or are incredibly inconsiderate and rude.

Anyways, which factions did you think of joining?
And do you need anything? Answers, advice, help?

Click on "My controls" on the top right, then click on "board settings" in the list to your left.

Then, there is an option with the header: "personal messenger options" & it asks "Disable your personal messenger? If you disable your personal messenger, you will not be able to make or receive personal messages."

make sure that it says "no"

Also if you want to keep a copy, check the little tickbox down the bottom of the message. "Add a copy of this message to my sent items folder".

Tracking doesn't seem to work very well.
