[font=Century Gothic]The Bretonian government was in need of acquiring some new policing methods and equipment in the latter stages of the war with Kusari. There are many factors that have lead to the Bretonians asking for foreign aid in police and military equipment in order to aid them against Kusari. However, due to the tricky situation, and the looming war between Liberty and Rheinland was limiting any aid apart from commercial aid to help buffer the dwindling Bretonian economy.

Thanks to a breakthrough in foreign relations, and the Liberty Autonomous Sentinel Program were producing new portable Sentinel AI cores, they decided to export a small number of the Sentinel 100 series cores that were able to fit into the Bretonian Hussar light fighter frame. This enabled for not only new research data that improved the LASP laboratories, but it was a test to see if it could ease the pressure from the Bretonian Police Forces.

A transport carrying several cores had landed at Cambridge Research Station and become work to assemble the new AI fighters into the BPA forces. This station is perfect for furthering the Sentinel program, and the Bretonian version of the program which is now called the Bretonian Automated Knight Systems, or BAKS. The conditions for keeping these cores are to relay all information that is not sensitive to Bretonian military back to the LASP laboratories for research purposes.

After a few days, the first Knight was able to take flight freely and independently from the Cambridge Research Station. The Knight has been equipped with standard equipment until new scanners and shield systems arrive from local armouries in the military.

The Knight project is still in its infancy, and a public relations office is still yet to be announced after further successful field tests and more experience is acquired with this relatively experimental technology.

Here are the Knight 101's and possible other Knights directives that it cannot ignore or bypass:

• Obey Bretonian Armed Forces and Bretonian Police Authority without question or compromise.
  
• Let no harm come to Bretonian Armed Forces, Bretonian Police Authority or Lawful civilians and traders.
  
• Perform duties of BPA unless ordered not to by BPA or BAF officials.
  
• Engage criminals at will if deemed hostile.
  
• Intercept and halt smugglers and destroy illegal cargo.
  
• When faced with enemy capital craft, send distress beacon and call for assistance.
  
• If captured, unit is ordered to self destruct and format memory and optical drives.
