May i suggest a new idea to uphold RP to an extent

If you read what I said again DAB, someone with a Liberty Navy ID would have full green with Liberty Police ,or should have providiing they dont kill them for bots and bats like the KNF would do. Being full green would grant docking rights....

I thought you had said that you could only dock at bases that were controlled by the faction you had the ID for.. Not fully green. And that wouldn't fix the problem completely. Players who didn't care about the rules, would unequip the ID, get green with hostile factions, then reequip it again.

I think its a bad idea all round. Where the hell would junkers dock? and what about freelancers? Where would the SCRA go?

Koolmo has a point here.

If this were to happen, it would severely hamstring the obtainment of money for some factions. However, this would solve the problem of illegal factions docking at [possible spoiler]

Cambridge to do the Corfu run.

It it were implemented, Igiss would have to develop many more lucrative trade routes just to suit every single faction.

Change the requirements for buying equipment radically. Don't let players buy ANY equipment on bases you're not green with, not even bats/bots. This would kind of force players to stay within their NPC factions area of influence as well.

For instance let's take Rochester base as an example. That base could be made to sell most weapons in Liberty since the Junkers are, well Junkers, they could reasonably use a large variety of weapons. Just make sure not to have them sell any weapons that currently require you to be in the green with any faction.
Addition: The Junkers would have to get some kind of faction-specific weapons though.

The same would work for the other Junker bases. In Rheinland have the base sell Rheinland weapons and in Bretonia have the base sell Bretonian weapons.

Of course the pirate factions' weapons of the region would have to be sold as well, just keep in mind the original requirements.

This sollution would still allow players from neutral factions to trade with neutral bases, but it'd be a lot harder to equip stuff that would be out of RP. Keep the docking requirements as they are (unable to dock with hostile bases).
