Well for starters I apologize if this is in the wrong section of the forums. I need some help with my freelancer..
It all started with me deactivating the 4.85 mod, and activating my mod. Yes I have been trying to learn how to mod, but that's a different story. Alright well I activated my mod, then clicked FL launcher. The discovery reunion page came up then two seconds later it crashed to my desktop. I thought this was odd so I tried again. Same thing. After the second time I thought I may have did something wrong and decided to forget it for the night. Well I went into my mod manager, I deactivated my mod, then reactivated Discovery 4.85. I thought I would blow up some corsairs. So I clicked the FL launcher, the reunion page came up then boom, the page crashes to my desktop.
Well I figured some how I must of messed up the discovery mod deactivating it.
So I deleted Discovery 4.85 completely, then redownload and installed it. I went to the FL launcher and again it crashes to the desktop.
I have been told I might need to reinstall FL, but I would like to try some more simpler fixes first if anybody has them.
Thank you guys in advance,

Well I have to..
I was playing on discovery 485 moments before I deactivated..
And it seems like deactivating could have been the only thing to have caused it.
So that's two for reinstalling FL..
Anymore options?

Never deactivate the mod using the Deactivate function on FLMM, always use the restore backups command. Sometimes, when FLMM unloads the mod, the files get a bit scrambled, and things get messed up. Always used restore backups. Once the damage is done though, a reinstall is probably the easiest way to fix the problem now. Added bonus, you get another Account number.

Would deleting then redownloading/installing Discovery 4.85 not fix that?

As people have said, a re-install is probably the easiest way. However, you probably find that the content.dll file in Freelancer\DLLS\BIN is missing. It has probably been put in the Freelancer\EXE directory - this happens sometimes and I don't know why. Move it from EXE into the DLLS\BIN directory and it might work.

Yep, that content file gets deleted when the mod gets deactivated, i didnt notice it on .85, but on the .84 mod it gave you a warning to backup the content thing before de-activating, but my advice is, Re-install FL, and the Mod, just to be sure...
