Only moments ago I was ordered by Vice Admiral DuLac on reconnaisance out into Sirius space. This will be the second time I have been there and i am not looking forward to what i might see. Memories from the last venture into the taus are still plastered in my mind, things I couldn't barely imagine. It seems, by fate, we have been located next door to one of the darkest corners of Sirius space. Bretonians and the IMG are squabbling on our back door over Orkney, and a race of narcotic enhanced Hispanians seem to have swarmed the space beyond. As well as a war between Bretonia and Kusari and another suspected conflict elsewhere it seems that the Sirius sector is in turmoil.
But other things, shadows i've seen. They occasionally appear in Outcast presence yet i have only seen them from a distance. I confess not to be a supersticious person but I have seen these Outcast Shadows on more than one occasion. Blue Ghosts that roam the empty voids, i grow more wary of them each day.
My orders are to use the funding i have been given to purchase a ship of Sirius origin. I can understand the Admirals precautions to not allow our engineering to fall into the wrong hands. My Agama has been landed and most probably reposessed on Reunion Station and until then, I wait for a sirius pilot's ferry to the wider world.
Command managed to organise a shuttle to a station known as Freeport 6 in the Tau 29 system. As I understand these "Freeport" Bases are owned by a neutralist group of people who call themselves the "Zoners". I am yet to understand or discover their origin amongst sirius history and i doubt to find out in the near future. This station has provided me with an epicentre of information for Tau 23 and the surrounding systems. The more informed news feeds seem to be buzzing with the headline of our emergence in Orkney and pilots from Tau 23 and beyond sceptecise rumors concerning us. It is in one of these bars i met a Zoner tradesman known as Peter Maxwell. He offered me the ideal offer of a ship of Sirius design known as an "Eagle". The information card states it is popular amongst civilian pilots and throughout sirius as a common escort vessel. Without delay I took the man up on the offer and within the hour my Culverins were being offloaded from the shuttle and mounted onto my Eagle. The transaction costed nearly two million Sirius credits and was payed for by Council funding.
The paperwork and ship signatures took a while to complete, at which time i stayed in the bar gathering what information I could about Tau 29 and it's resident factions. A passing Kusarian pilot offered to sell me the location of a nearby base that he claimed sold vast amounts of Fertilisers. I payed the man his pennies and soon boarded my new eagle and head out to the coordinates the pilot stated.
As I arrived at the dock the final work was being done on mounting my weaponry, and so i could launch within the next few minutes. Finally i could get behind the stick of a Sirius vessel and test their style. The flight stick felt rather unusual in my hand and the control panels were quite jumbled compared to what i'm used to. But it was all there: Autopilot, Cruise Speed, Thruster Boost, Weapons Responder, Scanner Display Blah Blah Blah. In space the ship seemed quite stiff for me as a change from my traditional Agama, but when i went through the routines i found that it was incredibly responsive to my controls and flew with incredible grace. My Usual Loadout isn't enough for it, it merely scratches the energy capacity it can supply, and i hope to soon invest into some open weaponry that may be of advantage to us.
It didn't take me long to reach the station as described by the Kusarian pilot. The station is called Shinkaku and exists in sector 5C of the Tau 29 system. By simple observation i can see has a clear industrially orientated module, several storage modules and a docking port module linked onto a center elongated hub. Docking permission was eventually granted after some debate over my identification and affiliation. Once on the station it appears the Kusarian pilot was speaking the truth in terms of mass fertiliser production. I learnt the nearby Samura Ice asteroid field is abundant in ammonia and methane in particular which induced the mining operation by a faction I found to be Samura Heavy Industries; A Kusarian Corporate firm.
Given the situation on Marne and the increasing demand for fertilisers there i see this as a golden oppertunity for us to strike a deal, or perhaps fund our own mining operation in this field in the future. I advise we use our embassadorial diplomacy to perhaps land an agreement with this kusarian firm for us to import fertilisers from Shinkaku. It's an oppertunity right on our doorstep.
All ties to my Gallic origin have almost been cut. My Identification papers and files have been burnt and deleted and replaced with a Sirius Civilian Identification status, my [Council]~ ship insignia has been reassigned to "Verrou" and all that now remains is my weaponry. The guns in turn will be destroyed at a remote location and exchanged for weaponry of Sirius origin. I have recently hired out a residence on Shinkaku and plan to use this station as a base of operations in the Tau systems and beyond. I will now turn in for the night and plan to set out tomorrow with the hope of cutting loose anything that may link me back to Nimes or the Revolucion. Then I shal begin scouring our neighboring systems for valuable information concerning our neighbors and their backgrounds.
Today has been an interesting day and has only spawned questions further into my understanding of these "Zoners" and their history amongst the stars. This morning i persued my objective to somehow acquire some more fitting weaponry that didn't lack the effectivness that i may need, and so i headed back to Freeport 6. There I inquired at a number of equipment dealers resident on the station for any fitting weaponry. As you may expect each in turn tried to flog me weaponry that wasn't nearly close to what I was looking for and so I turned to the pilot's bar in hope of another lead. There I got talking to a bartender under the name Craig Owens who told me of an absolute neutral station in a nearby sytem that constantly stocked some of the most advanced open market weaponry. However his directions on how to get there were rather vague, he mentioned something of a system called Baffin leading to my destination system "Coronado". Not knowing much about the space outside the station he couldn't tell me the exact coordinates of the first checkpoint I would need to get to, but he gave me an area to search on my Nav Map for a local Jump Hole.
However he seemed quite nervous in supplying me this information even after some 'financial encouragement' was involved. He then went on to warn me that the system was well gaurded by the zoners and 'religious' to some extent. He advised I stay on the route market out by the buoys that lead to my next checkpoint; a jump hole to the Coronado system and by no means hang around for too long.
I've decided to go with this hunch and search somwhere between the Hydrocarbon and Ice fields for the Baffin jump hole. Hopefully this trip will be a quick one as i hope to get started on my primary objective as soon as possible.

Entry 2
I am now aboard a large privately owned station known as the "Barrier Gate Station" in the Coronado system. My journey took as long as expected with a few 'detours' along the way. I searched in the area suggested by the tender on Freeport 6 and before long I had found the Jump hole. Once I jumped, quite an astounding view was laid out before me. A system semi-within the Barrier Nebula scattered with enourmous planets with a variety of culture. Almost directly in front of me a path of buoys was laid out leading into the Barrier Nebula but something else caught my eye. A large station apparently above the nearest of the planets i was soon to find out was called "Goddess Geode". It was clearly visible from a distance and long range scanners indicated the station as neutral aligned to civilians. I decided to investigate further and marked my location at the jump hole before proceeding towards the station I was soon to find out was "Shasta Orbital Skyhook".
Now I have no idea what a skyhook is or what it may be used for but docking for this station was restricted to "TAZ affiliates" only. The station was like nothing i'd ever seen; stretching over a wide X and Z axis plane to over a kilometer in length. Local zoner pilots in the area began to notice my presence and group together so at this time I chose to move back on track to the next Jump Hole.
The buoys helped me in locating the Jump Hole quite alot and before long I'd reached the Coronado system. Instantly a station called the "Barrier Gate Station" had a beacon reading on my scanner as I arrived. I followed the beacon and eventually reached a large (and may i say impressive) asteroid base. Docking permission was granted and i could gather that the station had a status similar to that of "Freeport" status. Now this station takes the cake as one of the biggest cespool of scum I have seen to date. Pirates from all over sirius, smugglers, slave traders and drug dealers seemed to swarm the commercial deck and docking pens. Before i managed to gather where I was going i'd been offered a variety of illegal goods from a number of lowlifes including the known Outcast exported narcotic "Cardamine". I soon made my way to what appeared to be a legitimate equipment dealer and managed to strike a deal on a number of high class Sirius weapons. I am yet to test them but hope they will be of a satisfactory effectiveness to my demands.
If that statistics prove to be true then we may want to look into the technology these weapons use and perhaps apply it to our own. Now my ship's loadout consists of:
I hope that I will not need to use these in the near future as my assignment is simply for exploration and reconnaisance, but it's better to be prepaired for a false Ordeal than be unprepaired for a true one.
From this point I initiate my log on all recordings of encounters with unknown factions, systems and structures. The attached file currently contains all gathered information from both my patrols into the Taus and my current assignment. It will be updated on a regular basis to accomodate all additional information and encounters. DO NOT delete this file as it is constantly relayed as opposed to stored and to do so will eradicate all recordings of information from this day forward.

Recorded Sirius Factions
Junkers
The Sirius Junkers are a contingent of the original Gallic Junker faction sent out by Gallic Royal forces before the second Gallic conflict into Sirius space. Their arm is believed to stretch far out into many of the Sirius houses and they are understood to be an accepted people amongst the Sirius economical and cultural background. Underneath the surface however they have been secretly supplying Gallic Forces of what is going on in the Sirius systems and have been aiding the Royalist forces with information to contribute to their plans of Sirius conquest.

Independant Miners Guild
The Independant Miners Guild are a collective of miners and pilots who have cast aside house corporate control in order to live and work independantly under their own regulated reigime. Existing mostly throughout the independent worlds of sirius, they profit from the ignored, unclaimed and sometimes undiscovered asteroid fields that bear wide varieties of useful materials. The highest concentration of Independent Miners is witihin the upper Tau systems where they have established multiple Niobium mining operations. In envy of the Guild's riches harvested from the vast Niobium Nebulae, the Bretonian Government has declared the Guild an Enemy of the state alongside their closest allies the Colonial Remnant. The Guild currently holds a station within the Orkney system known as Dounby and poses as an advantagous group to deal with in commodities.

The Outcasts are believed to be a Remnant of the once united Hispania nation and sleeper ship. Existing in a high concentration in the taus, they profit from the export of their native drug Cardamine into the other four Sirius houses' underworld. The Outcasts are believed to be well established throughout Sirius and hold many allies to their cause, most of which from an unlawful background. Rumors claim that the Outcasts native drug has genetically altered their DNA making them dependent on it, but simoultaniously they are gifted with a longer life span to well over 100 years of age. Rumors also speak of an alien ally they have that cease to attack them in most given surcumstances. These rumors match rumors of "Blue Ghosts" or "Outcast Shadows" that have been spread throughout the taus and into Gallia. The closest confirmed Outcast base to Council territory is in the Tau 23 system but due to hightened numbers in sightings of Outcast ships in Orkney, it is highly possible that there is a depot somwhere within the system. Their home system is said to be somwhere beyond the Tau 37 system and their rivals are said to be a second Hispanian faction believed to be somwhere beyond Rheinland space.

Zoners
The Zoners are a Neutralist aligned independant group of people of unknown origin that hold Freeport stations throughout Sirius Independent space. The Zoners insist their diplomatic relations are of a neutral intention but it is believed that an unknown diplomatic complication has led them to be slightly swayed away from the Outcasts of Sirius. The Zoners hold their origin and their history amongst the Sirius history very private, and are also believed to be involved in a Siriuswide cult originating from the Baffin system. This religion is somehow linked to the unorthodox "Pineal Amulets" that are in high demand all throughout Sirius and as far as some locations within Gallia.

Bretonian Mining and Metals is a large Bretonian corporate firm that specialises in the mining and extraction of valuable materials from ores in space. The closest BMM Mining operation to Council territory is in the Tau 23 system which is highly rivalled by the Independant Miners Guild. Both BMM and the IMG hold bases within the system and are constantly skirmishing over rights to the valuable ores in the systems extensive asteroid field. BMM is also understood to be a nationalised firm of the Bretonian government and thus is regularly backed up by the Armed Forces in the event of a threat to a BMM base or operation. Rumors tell that BMM is under investigation due to accusations of slave labour and poor working conditions on a number of their mining facilites and so have been severely targeted by both the IMG and the Sirius-wide Media.

The Bretonian Armed forces is the sole military orientated contingient of the Bretonian space programme. The Armed Forces consist of Bretonian war vessels designed for the event of a war or the need of extra homeland security. The Armed Forces are currently engaged in Leeds and Tau 31 after a lengthy war with Kusari that pushed them back onto Bretonian sovereign territory. The war is believed to have been initiated by Kusari in response to BMM engaging in hostilities with the IMG in tau space. The war has been constant for over four years and is currently at a stalemate at Leeds, Planet Harris and another unknown system called Dundee.

Colonial Remnant
The Colonial Remnant are a group of people not of human origin. They are said to have been forced from their distant homeworld due to a natural disaster of cataclysmic proportions aboard two sleeper ship prototypes. They then arrived in the Sirius systems somwhere in the Omegas and began to build lives for themselves in Bretonian space as Mercenaries for the Bretonian Government. After some years the Remnant gathered enough funding to invest in a terraforming contract with Planetform on Planet Harris in the Tau 31 system. Bretonian Parliament then charged all Colonial Remnant pilots under contract with high treason. They were declared enemies of the state and their operations on planet Harris were reposessed by the Bretonian Government. Forced from their homes the Colonial Remnant seeked refuge in the Tau systems amongst the IMG where they settled at their new home in Tau 44. As of today the Colonial Remnant stand with the IMG against the Outcast Horde that is flooding Tau 37, and poses the biggest threat to Outcast smuggling operations in the Taus and beyond.

Today I will begin my research and asessment of our surrounding systems outside of Gallia. My tactical plan is to gradually head down the planar axis into Bretonian Spaceto find out what I could of their house and it's inhabitants. I understand there is a blockade between Kusari and Bretonia of all trading vessels in particular so I will be taking a risk when passing through the Taus. But fate has placed us here already and this we cannot change.
Not long after my transmission yesterday I returned to Shinkaku station for the night and the journey back was barely eventful. This morning after launching I headed back to Freeport 6 to take the trade lane to the Tau 31 Jump Gate and encountered an oddly familiar sight. It appears the Brigands are one step ahead of us:
The Pilots ID checked out to be Mercenary aligned but the Brigands don't sell their personally engineered ships to just anyone. Naturally i covertly scanned his hold for evidence of any cargo in which he had none, his weaponry and equipment showed no sign of him being a Brigand affiliate. But it concerns me that the Brigands are getting so friendly with our outside neighbors.
On the way to the Tau 31 jump gate a number of 3 Outcast rookies in apparent "Borderworld" class vessels distrupted me and demanded for a small sum of money as well as a collection of 5 Hydrocarbon tanks in my hold. I declined and they were soon to open fire upon my vessel. At this moment the Eagle surprised me with it's maneuverability, it seemed irritatingly awkward for my adversaries to hit and within a matter of minutes the space was filled with debris of the three Outcast pilots' ships. Two of the pilots managed to eject in time but the third wasn't as lucky. The two survivors are still in my hold and I will deliver them back to the Freeport once i have the time.
I proceeded onto the Tau 31 jump gate and through the 31 system until I encountered the first signs of military occupation. A Magnificent Kusari Battleship known as the Yamaguchi is currently stationed within the parameters of Holman Outpost for reasons i could imagine would be occupational or security aligned. Before long I continued on my set route down into the Leeds system and here it was where i could see the first signs of conflict. As i arrived at the Leeds jump gate a skirmish between a small Kusari cruiser contingent and a number of Bretonian fighters dominated the space. I chose to hold from the gate at around 1000 meters until the fight was over. The Kusarian battle group consisted of a single Kusari Destroyer, two Gunboats and two Heavy fighter escorts. The Bretonian squadron consisted of five or maybe six Bretonian fighters. The Bretonians fought gallantly bringing down both Kusari fighters and a Gunboat, but after losing three or four men the other two were forced to retreat back to Planet Harris.
Then continueing into the Leeds system I was immediatley encountered by a Kusari Battleship and a Kusari base of Bretonian design suggesting that the fight here have been lost by the Empirial forces. On to a station known as "Stokes Mining Station" which was also occupied by the Naval Forces, and so it seems the Bretonians have been hit harder than we thought. I then opted to head for Planet Leeds in search of a capita of information and explaination on the status of the war on our back door. Here I encountered the first signs of Bretonian occupancy, the Bretonian battleship Derby is perched in the orbit of Planet Leeds supplying extra security, and then it occured to me, that this must be the front line.
Planet Leeds was a blight of a planet like it's surrounding system, it's atmosphere gave off a smoggy aura and little could be seen of the world beneath the clouds. But I turn my back for a second and another interesting event almost passes me by. An IMG trading vessel right here on the front in Leeds.
It was odd to hear that he didn't opt for the safer route through Kusari but apparently since the BMM engagements the IMG's runs through Bretonia have been restricted. But it shows that even in this world time is money. He then made a speedy getaway from a hostile contact that was coming in fast from Leeds. A pilot named Joh.Monash carrying a tag I've never seen before. Who are the "Mollys" and why are they hostile to even an innocent civilian? I could only guess that they are an unlwaful aligned group of people.
I soon landed on Leeds. Once that smoggy air filled my lungs i couldn't help but cough. I continued to cough at intervals throughout the day I spent there looking for leads on these "Mollys" and any other rare info i could find. I could only get murmers out of people saying that the Mollys never came up this far and originated from a system called "Dublin". But nothing on their motives or what they do. After looking at the news feeds all I could find was a report on some "Molly" operatives captured aboard an in-system station known as LD-14. It was soon apparent that they are mere pirates or criminals as they were simply after shipping manifests and schedules.
Other news included BMM declairing their plans to move into the border worlds and the dislike of the faction on Leeds itself. Leeds has also been declared under seige and it is now clear that Kusari is winning the war in the taus, however one can only speculate how far they are going to take this fight. Also it seems the news channels down here and all over Sirius are buzzing with our emergence in Orkney and we are by no doubt a confirmed presence.
Out of persoanl interest i visited a few ship dealers in the Industrial sector of the city and found some interesting ship designs that i admit attract my taste. The "Percheron" is a monster of a vessel matching the cargo space of our own transport and the "Clydesdale" a smaller freighter with an impressive statistics script. But it's been a long day and I think the trip back to Shinkaku will be a long one, so for now I have booked a room in a Leeds hotel and will wake tomorrow to continue my investigation.
A sleepless night was to await me at the hotel and I eventually got to the point that I couldn't bare it any longer. Before long i'd decided to head back to the commercial level and to the pilots bar where i spoke to the tender about a drink and a man i the far corner of the room. The man was wearing a hood of a hooded top over his head underneath a long aviator's overcoat. I could see little of his face but the faint smell that drifted across the room was unmistakable. The bartender knew little of the character other than the fact that he put down here once a month in his Freighter from the Omicrons. I followed my instincts in finding out who this man was and how he had come across tobacco in his travels. I immediatley sat down next to the man and he seemed slightly irritated by my presence. I instantly addressed him and told him my name, he said nothing and i continued to persue the topic of tobacco. I noticed how he turned his head slightly in interest of the subject and spoke in a gallic accent of english. He calmly asked me to follow him out of the bar, he never said why.
I followed him out to the street and he inquired as to which dockin platform my ship was moored. Naturally I told him as there was no danger of him taking my vessel without the access codes. But irony strikes unknowingly, he then asked me for the access codes. I denied, and before long he had whipped out a gun into my face in the hopes of extracting the access codes. Yet again i told him no and demanded who he was. I quote:
Gallic Stranger Wrote:"Give me the damn access codes Loyalist swine, or you can say goodbye to your 'Reunion' earlier than the rest."
A BPA patrol then flew overhead and landed on the platforms just down the street with sirens blaring. The Stranger grunted in frustration before putting his gun away and dissapearing into a nearby alley. The police arrived in moments asking me the direction in which the fugitive went, naturally I directed them the the right way and then made a hastey retreat to my ship.
Now I am almost certain that this man was one of the Royalist agents we believe they have sent out into Sirius through Lorraine. This man seemed too professional for a Junker, but it's irrelevant if he was working with them or not, he seemed to have guessed my origin immediatley. Through this incident i apply this to myself and advise to all further agents heading into Sirius to be weary of everyone, and keep a low profile. We cannot afford to let my mistake repeat itself, as my successor may not be as lucky.
Not long after launching I decided to head in the direction of the New London system; Bretonia's capitol. The lanes in the system took me past a large war-shipyard and a number of corporate bases in orbit of Planet New London belonging to BMM and another unknown faction called "Interspace Commerce". The correct alterations have been made to the info file as expected. Planet New London itself has been considered a BPA base of operations, and as I understand is where the Bretonian Parliament and Queen Carina's residences are situated. The Planet itself is not as bleak as Leeds but seems to have too much rainy weather to my taste. It did not stop raining once throughout my time there. However, reverting to a small incident outside of space, I ran into a man working for a group of pilots called the "Bounty Hunters Guild". I must admit their vessel design was rather inspiring and had a prominent vertical chassis as opposed to a horizontal chassis.
This man demanded the two Outcast escape pods in my hold, and once i asked him what he would do with them he claimed he would surely torture them after selling them onto the highest bidder. Torture is an aspect of evil that I will not tolerate, as well as his intentions sounding similar to that of a slave trader. Naturally I denied his request and he opted not to use force to obtain them as he claimed my weapons were rather impressive. Though I was flattered, I take the words of a torturer for pleasure quite lowly amongst peoples opinions.
After picking up some information on a number of factions within Bretonia space; including a few 'out of the way' bases; at the bar I decided to head back to Shinkaku where I would finally feel closer to home. On my way to the Tau 31 system however I encountered an unusual character under the name Aoyagi.Ritsuka. He was flying a ship of what seemed to be IMG or Colonial design with an ID I hand't seen before. I couldn't help but ask him about his origin or perhaps what he stood for as a 'Gaian Guard'. He claimed he was not one of them but shared the same ideals. However he was kind enough to briefly inform me of who these 'Gaian Guard' were and what they did in this wide world. However he seemed in a hurry and I couldn't keep him for long. The journey back to Shinkaku from then on was uneventful and peaceful, I finally had time to contemplate how close I had come to death at that point and I am now glad to be alive.
I must admit i'm feeling glad that my time out here is coming to an end, I am missing my home, my Agama, and my war.
This morning I turn my ship around and head for home again. I am looking forward to seeing my Agama once again and feeling the familiar controls to my touch. This Sirian vessel has been trusty these past few days, but still irritates me with it's alternate controls and oddly shaped flight stick. I shal return to Reunion at once and report my arrival to the Admiralty before returning to regular duty as a Captain amongst the Council. The two Outcast pilots in my hold will be unloaded there, and their fate will be decided within one of our two worlds by the detention staff.
Marcus Verrou
Entry 2
I recently landed on reunion base and reported to the Admiralty as before stated. But a disturbing scene has just been revealed to me. As I arrived back at my ship, several men from detention were heading into the hold of my eagle. I presumed they were heading to collect the two Outcasts from within and so I would have liked to sieze this oppertunity to see my enemy. I walked in behind the men and a god aweful smell gushed out from in front of me as the escape pod door was unsealed. Inside was a man with small device attatched to his neck. He was dead, and had been for some time. A security officer turned to me and told me there were no scars on the body, and the pod log stated the escape was a successful jettison. The oxygen garden in the pod was overgrown and there seemed no sign of what or who killed the man.
Entry 3 - Present
A second gush of air from across the hold came as the second pod was opened. There was another man inside, apparently weak and barely alive. He was breathing yet, suffocating all the same. Pod log status' were all green and no clues were given to us of what these men were dying of. I went and sat by the man slouched in the seat in the escape pod. "What's wrong with you? How are you in this state?" I asked, all he could reply was "Cardamine". Poor soul, sucked into his own addiction even at the end. "Yes, Cardamine" I heard from down the hold ramp. Admiral DuLac proceeded with two secruity officers at his side into my cargo hold. "He is dying because of the drug, he's reliant on it, it's like water to them, or food or medicine; a vital bodily resource." all men in the hold now stood silently watching the Admiral, and then the man next to me inside the pod. The Admiral stepped into the pod at which time i stood to salute. The Outcast at my side slumped down onto the chair behind me and gave out a long and withering sigh. The Admiral let his sight slip to the man behind me, he gave a hint of an emotion that I could not decypher as Aggrivation, Disgust or maybe even Pity. "Welcome home Verrou" He said as he shook my hand. "I've kept up to date on your flight records and I must admit i'm glad to hear we know alot more of our surroundings than we did five days ago.", "However there are a few things i would like to ask you in private if you wouldn't mind Marcus, we need to clear a few things with the Brigands..."
I then left with the Admiral onto the deck of Reunion knowing, that if we didn't acknowlege our sirian diplomacy soon, that we would be torn apart, starting here.
