a while back when I was playing around with gimp, i found a filter that would make the edges of an image wavy (by erasing the border of the image)... now I cant figure out how to do that again. Anyone know what section it's under?
A better way is to press Ctrl-A, Select>Shrink, select an amount, then click Quick Mask (Very bottom left of the screen).
Red haze should appear. Filters>Distorts>Ripple
Right-click the layer and click "Apply Layer Mask", select Quick Mask from the dropdown box, and click the Quick Mask button again.
I often Gaussian Blur the mask too.
