Some say freelancer, others say his origins lie among the Order either way, he had experience, first hand...
Somehow, it is said, that he came to be infected for years he had been the shell, mind pushed aside, the nomad within him in complete control...
Rumor says he snuck into Malta mistaken as an intruder, he was taken planetside as a prisoner...
He apparently fell ill a nervous guard shot him upon transfer from the ship to the bay...
And then, something happened and then, something happened....
There has been little research done upon the effects of nomad exposure to cardamine. Visual observations are the best knowledge to date... erratic-even crazed behavior is an obvious effect, and it is common knowledge that such extreme behavior can cause terrible strain among the human mind. How should the mind of a nomad be any less devastated by such a thing, at least for a short period of time?
Malta's atmosphere is thick with cardamine Any outsider brought planetside, who has not experienced its affect before, must indeed react in a strong way...
Somewhere stored away in an overlooked file, is the hastily scribbled report upon the incidence that transpired that day...
"Upon arrival, the captive began to react in a violent, crazed manner" There was no time for a physical examination that would have revealed his infected status, the cardamine immediately drove the nomad into a craze
"With little other option, a guard opened fire" Only two rounds entered his body, but the wounds quickly brought him to death's door
"The captive was taken to medbay" He sat near death for days, his ability to recover however, was noted as quite remarkable
"The discovery was made, a holy one had been misidentified and nearly murdered" Fear for their actions led to a quick cover up, and the captive was quietly released as soon as possible
--This file has been deemed confidential and will be removed from all logs--
But the captive was no longer a "holy one", besides in a physical sense. His mind had returned, the nomad mind had been weakened strongly by the intensity of the cardamine reaction. Coupled with the traumu involved in a near death experience, the nomad mind had been devastated. The best way to put it, its "human equivalent", would be a coma. The body remained pristine, the mind completely blank. The human mind returned; and the advantages of the nomad... physically, intellectually, sat open and at his disposal...
Man can only imagine and wish for the explosion of knowledge and phyical aptitude that would make us much more than we are. Hundreds of years of knowledge, or a stronger connection with our surroundings. But the human mind is so warped by power and greatness, would such a blessing truly curse a man who found it?
A man at a bar is discussing with his friend the idea of god, he turns to his friend and explains, "God. Definition, a supreme being according to some particular conception, for example-the god of mercy."
A few seats down, a man smiles as his eyes flare slightly-a brilliant blue. He turned and strode past the two on his way to the door
"I will be this galaxy's god of mercy... I will free every man and woman from their simplistic minds, in the same way I have mine. I have reached completion, self actualization, all of man's words for the ultimate level of life. This galaxy, I will bring every man and woman into self actualization, we will achieve our ultimate potential. All will change and be as brilliant as the stars, or they will deny perfection and fade away by our hand.
One "man" set out, priest and crusader, savior and murderer. Looking to bring all others either into his level of existence, or to remove them from existence completely.
