Or, do as I do, and edit dsupdate.cfg's flargs line and put them there, then point your FL shortcut to DSupdate.exe

on your desktop, assuming you have a shortcut to discovery freelancer on your desktop
- right click the icon
- click on the shortcut tab, at the top
- there is a box that says Target:
inside that box, it should say "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\freelancerDisc\EXE\Freelancer.exe"
