After having spent many an hour going through things and deleting them by hand I agree that it would be easier - the problem is that some things, for historical sake, needed to be kept.
So with the exception of flood - where we HAD intended to keep some things seperately by moving them, even if it didn't QUITE work out that way:(- nothing is getting a mass deletion. One of my self-appointed tasks is to keep an eye on the stock market, for example, and just prune stuff as it ages far enough off. (Which is why I appreciate people changing their topics to closed when their item sells.)
Another example is the sanction report thread. That's going to get pruned - but we don't want to just indiscriminately delete everything older than a year. Some of the threads need to be preserved for posterity, and in case someone shows up again. (The perma-bans, for example.)
