The Prosecutor slipped from his chair straightening his suit and smirking.
"So you are a self professed pirate, an unwed mother... who has committed grand theft Starship... Very reliable as a witness..." he shook his head.
"I have no futher questions for this... woman." he waved his hand dismissively.
"No futher questions your honour," Templeman said.
Templeman was on his feet a second later, "the Defence calls Jason Nagger to the stand..." he leaned down to whisper in the boys ear. "I don't want to do this, but we have to buy some more time..."
Once the youth was on the stand, the Prosecutor was sitting forward, salivating at the prospect of roasting the youth alive in his cross-examination.
Templeman had no choice, it was do or die, literally. The Rhienland Authorities would incarcerate Christian Naggar and his son for a very long time if he didn't do something... anything to show the human side of the Naggar family.
"Hey Jason,' Templeman said warmly, looking at the frightened schoolboy. "Take your time, don't worry. Can you tell us all, about what life was like aboard your father's ship?"

From the back of the court room, the robed man gritted his teeth as he grew angrier by the minute. He began to stand up but as his escort noticed his rage building, she reached over and grabbed his arm and softly said to him, "John, don't do it. If these people find out who you are, they'll make an example out of you."
He thought about it in mid stand, staring down the prosecutor who he had developed a strong dislike of. Never breaking his angry stare, he sat down and said to her, "if he grills this child......"
Simultaneously, Doreen got angry with the prosecutor, "Oh...like you never made a bad decision in your life? Like you have always been perfect....."
The judge began slamming her gavel, "Order! Order in the court! Miss Naggar, you will control yourself or find yourself in contempt!"
Doreen then began on the judge herself, "and what will you do, come get me and throw me in a prison cell? Good luck with that out here! Or fine me? Go ahead since I have nothing!"
That was it! He had seen enough. The robed man stood up quickly and he was furious. His escort could only watch as she knew what was coming. "John, don't!" she said aloud.
He began his walk to the front of the room, "Dr. Tesh, cut that damned video feed right now!" he barked. Dr. Tesh did so, fearing his job. The whole while, the judge slammed her gavel to no avail.
He then marched right up to the prosecutor. Instinct made him reach for two pistol holders that weren't there. Realizing this, he stood nose to nose with him and pointed at him, "Harass one of my patients like this again and Rheinland will be looking for a new prosecutor."
Several guards surrounded him at this point but strangely, didn't apprehend him.
"And just who the hell are you?" demanded the very angry judge.
Never breaking his stare at the prosecutor, he bellowed, "My name is Doctor John Henry Holliday, leader of the Temporary Autonomous Zoners and owner of Med.Force.One and this animal needs a leash!"
In the back, his escort watched, her hands on her head, fearing what would happen next.
Templeman walked into the side room and set his briefcase on the table, looking at the Prosecuting Attorney.
The recess wouldn't be long, and they were in a bad situation.
His only real recourse was to plea bargain, and he knew it.
The Prosecutor sat back in his chair and looked up at the slick lawyer.
"Seven years," He began.
Templeman shook his head, "Time served, and seven years probation. To be served in a place of our choosing..."
"So the man gets away with it...?"
"No, but I can promise you that the Naggar's will never trouble Rheinland again." Templeman shrugged. "This trial is a nightmare publicity wise. I am offering you a victory here, and the chance not to send a child to prison."
"I'll let the child walk," the Prosecutor stated. "But Naggar has to spend some time behind bars..."
Templeman nodded, "But we get to choose the location of the cell?"
The Prosecutor shrugged, "five years... parole after two."
Templeman drew out the papers, "agreed... just sign there..."
The prosecutor obliged. Signing the documents.
"And where is this cell going to be?" he asked out of curiosity.
"The kid walks, and Msiter Naggar spends the next two years in his quarters aboard the Zoner Vessel Med Force One," Templeman said, smiling as he waggled the signed documents. "looking after his grandson, and being a good father to his children."
"That's..." the Prosecutor sputtered.
"That's the law," Templeman stated. Walking out of the room, glad that it was finally over.

John Holliday never let his angry gaze leave the prosecutor. Upon signing of the papers, he snapped his fingers towards the door. His two personal heavily armed guards came down to his side. As they did, some Rheinland officers moved to block them. Upon doing so, the two large Klingons, who dwarfed them, just looked down upon them and snarled, forcing the officers to back off.
"Mr. Nagger," Doc ordered, still never breaking his gaze with the prosecutor, "you and your son will go with these two men to my ship. I have use for your shipwright skills in our own yards." He got a little closer to the prosecutor and emphasized the next statement, "Yards that are far away from here and far superior."
With that, the guards, the Naggers and Doc's escort all left for the ship. Doc then turned to the judge.
"Miss Naggers will be greatful," he said to her as he pushed a few buttons on his personal datapad, "and the court will find a hefty fee paid for all costs and fines accrued from crimes and proceedings."
He then turned to Mr. Templeman and shook his hand without a word, only giving a nod of approval. He then turned and made his way up the aisle to the double doors as Dr. Tesh joined him.
The judge looked down to see the fee paid, 50 million credits was now in the justice system coffers.
