Well, I agree that bringing 2 battleships against fighters could be described as a disaster of ego oppression which seems in fact now ridiculous to me as well. Probably, I had concentrated myself more than the normal doze and required in the roleplay of guarding bretonia that day. And the outcome existed as an unpleasent one. I wont comment about the grudge issue, I respect everybodys personality here. And also agree with the idea of ppl knowing more about each other. That could not be easy to facilitate -the things including skype or ventrilo- but speaking to each other would solve a lot of things in quick time.

My interactions with clans have been few and far between. Most come off as within the rules of RP and (assuming that they are attempting to RP what they come across) it has been fine. I've not personally, as far as I know, violated any actual "rules." This does not however, seem to apply to SA, and thus I exclude from the previously mentioned group SA.

I have not once considered any interaction with certain members of SA, especially with regards to RP, as anything short of despicable. As a disclaimer, I say now, this does not apply to all members of SA and it is my utter hope that within that clan/faction that there are members of decent standing. However, with that being said:

I have yet to encounter SA RP without any sort of questionable acts within. Many of the SA come across as just simple OOC, tossing insults and summarizing the server up to what I have experienced and would expect of a PvP server. There has even been points where a certain member has even taken it upon himself to comment on the RP actions of others by making sad, insulting plays at any attempt by another to RP. Thus, I find "rude" to be a word that comes very short of describing SA.

However, on that same note, this is not to say all clan guys are rude, even when in violated of their rules. For my short interaction, I found dealing with KNF to be a very pleasing and enjoyable RP experience.

As I do not have enough experience within the server to claim that in this specific scenario, clan members will generally come off as rude, I will say that:
Having dealt with experienced, long-standing members in other communities (and being in that position myself), I can safely say that often veterans will have a tendency to come off as condescending. There are those who do it in a way as not to be so much as rude as to establish their standing. However, that group is a minority. It is my general conclusion based on my own experience that many veterans do not take kindly to the simplest of "wrongful" acts or questions and have a tendency to be extremely rude.

But on a final note, that does not say it applies to this server.

I just felt like dropping a line or two in, feel free to continue =o

I don't know about anyone else in the RM, but when I'm off in my battleship doing those little cargo scans and whatnot I try to be a little accommodating. For example, saying "Player-X, please halt for a cargo scan" instead of ordering someone to just halt right off the bat. You ignore me, however, and my next words are a bit harsher. After that, you get to eat Rhineland plasma.

Most of what I've seen by New Berlin is officers asking people to stop, then those people tell us in so many words to go suck eggs, and then get all pissed off when we shoot them down. It's not like we ask for much, just hold still for about 5 seconds, then we'll say "All right, go ahead" and you're fine. Now if you're a smuggler, it's a different story. Then you get asked to drop cargo and pay a fine for breaking contraband laws. It's sad how many seem to think that docking on NB, selling the illegal goods, and then coming out will save them from this fate. Too d*mn many, that's for sure.

If people have a problem with the RM, then would you please tell us? I can't change policy if I don't know it's broken. Although don't expect too much; we are the military after all and being nice is not our job. The best you'll get is equal treatment.

This is the real true story of rock and roll; it was not about anything more then, how to live your life, as a gangster, in sartorial splendor, and turning the world into a place where normality would never return again...- Malcolm McLaren

I say they're behavior is okay. We all have our faction status posts, go read through all of them, you'll pretty much get the gist of what they're like.

I'd have to agree with Kane here. RM as well as the rest of the factions role play as they should. The smugglers think they can just land and not pay the consequences. That's hard on those RPing as the police or military. If you get scanned by an NPC, you have are ordered to drop it. If you don't, well they fire on you, don't they? They don't give you the option of paying a fine and moving on. RM does give you that option. If you continue along the smuggling course...you have to pay the consequences.

Why is that so hard to deal with?

RM players RP as very militaristic officers. It has nothing to do with the veterans. There are 4 new RM members, and by new I mean new to the community, and they act the same way as the 'veteran' RM members.

It shouldn't be about who's a veteran or who's not, this faction is full of a$$es, this one isn't. It's about the game, guys. It's about the Roleplay. If you don't like the way a certain faction does it, then avoid them...avoid their systems. Simple as that.
