But does BF:BC2 have an actual story that immerses you in the game?
The first one didn't...not to me anyway. Sure the gameplay was fun, but...story > gameplay for me.
If the second Bad Company actually includes a decent story...well, I'll go toss MW2 out the window because that game...I played to the end because it had an 'okay' story, definately nothing compared to the stories of the older COD's...
Battlefield series have never been good for the story as far as I recall. They were made for multiplayer matches. The stories are like addons.
Multiplayer = Battlefield; big maps, variety, not insanely fast paced
Story = CoD; immersive story (CoD:MW especially), stunning visual, nice levelups systems.
Quite frankly, I prefer BF above anything else... Even if Dice has never been comprehensible with its costumers.
BadComp had an alright story, and the gameplay was solid, but I wanted more story from it D:
as for the story in MW2, without any spoilers, MW1's story is far more immersive and delivered better, while MW2's was still good it was somewhat lack luster.
I'm enjoying the beta so far. I see a big trend in classes, though:
Most people just go Assault or Recon, use the Assault Rifle and spray and pray, or they get a Sniper Rifle and never hit anything. Sounds just about normal, actually...
Problem with this BF that might turn people off, though, is that it's a little faster paced than the older ones. But, you know, with a team like Dice, they might just churn out a completely different game in this month of beta...
[8:32:45 PM] Dusty Lens: Oh no, let me get that. Hello? Oh it's my grandma. She says to be roleplay.
[12:49:19 AM] Elgatodiablo: You know its nice that you have all that proof and all, Bacon... but I just don't believe you.
Beta is great. Loving it so far played it for the most of Saturday Afternoon.
Suprised my 7600GS runs it when its below minimum, little hicups to boot.
Proboblly will get the full game when I can, lots of fun to be had.
Compared to MW2:
Pace is about the same in terms of MP, both can be either fast or slow depending on the teams but generally fast but BC:BC2 is alot more intense. APCs, choppers, AA guns, quads and the Destrucability thrown in. Fun just to mess with the environment.
Screw the door, fire a noob tube or RPG at the side of the house and walk in :D
SP wise, no verdict yet. MW2s campaign, a bit confusing at a point, but very fun. I enjoyed it quite a bit.
By the looks of the SP Trailer shown a few days ago, BF:BC2 SP looks sick.
I'm not in the beta for this, but I have heard a lot about it from friends. I plan to get this on release, however, I also need to get a new desktop that can run this one. I barely scrape by the minimum requirements.
