After school he attended West Point Military Academy for three years, then immediately entered active service at the rank of Captain. He scored highly not only in strategic and tactical theory, but also in gunnery and fighter piloting. Hale's work helped to reorganise the command heirarchy and stabilise the Navy's position as the most powerful military force in Sirius. In 817as was Hale, ranked Vice Admiral. Later that year admiral John Talon retired and promoted Hale to rank Admiral. Hale's career and significant achievements have earnt him the respect of his fellow officers and admiration of Libertonian people.

Do you think there will be peace between Rheinland and Liberty in future?
Peace between Rheinland is only possible under certain conditions. The Rheinland government currently wishes to bring the borderworlds of Bering and Hudson under their control. Our intervetion to the arising situation on our borders has proven effective, and Rheinland forces are currently pushed back to the hudson and bering jumpgates.
If the Rheinland government were to allow the independant borderworlds to be just that... Independant... Then we could arrange peace. The Rheinland government is known to be an oppressive regime, where the Chancellor requires that he is worshipped as a god. This state religeon allows the government to have an iron grip over the populace. That is unacceptable, and a freer society in Rheinland is something the Liberty Government seeks to establish.
Militarily, if Rheinland do not wish to comply with our just demands regarding regime change and the borderworlds, then I am in no doubt that Liberty would win a prolonged conflict.
How do you interest young people to join Navy instead of for example becoming pirate?
The struggle against our internal pirates and house criminals is a long winded affair, and one that can only be won by appealing to hearts and minds. Many of those who turn to piracy are drawn from poorer regions of our nation. And I'll be the first to accept that not everything in Liberty is perfect. However, it's important to teach these people that they can do a far greater service to Liberty by working for one of our corperations or a branch of the military than they can by thinking only of themselves and turning to crime. Those who choose a life of crime will face Libertonian justice, however I do believe in the concept of rehabilitation over punishment. If people can be reintegrated into society as a functioning individual within the bounds of law, then that is a far better resolution than anyone losig their life, or wasting away in prison.
The Liberty Navy offers several rewarding careers, not all in frontline positions. We require many logstical engineers, computer specialists, transport pilots... The list is nearly endless, and the training opportunities are astonishing. A life in the navy, even a mere three years, can set you up with the skills you need for a career in civvy-street, or alternatively why not make a career out of the Navy? There is no greater feeling than working for the betterment of your country.
What's your idea of Liberty Navy in next years?
Interesting question. Of course, much of that is classified *Hale laughs*, but it will see a streamlining in organisation, allowing greater spending for our research and development deptment. We are currently the best equipped miliary in Sirius, and I know the men and women under my command are proud to serve in the Liberty Navy.
The more efficient a service we can render for the Libertonian taxpayer the better. War is an expensive business, and we wish to attempt to reduce that cost through better training and better technology for our people in space. This will naturally reduce the risk to our servicemen and women's lives, which I think you'll agree is an important factor.
What's your status to new discovered Gallia House? Do you have some contact with them?
We have made contact with a few groups in Gallia. However I'm not at liberty to give details of that contact. next question?
Many people dislike Liberty Navy. However you are every day risking your lifes for their safety, why do you do that?
Many people wish to be disruptive, but that's something to be expected. In every society through history there have been rebels, dissidents and criminals. The Navy does it's utmost to uphold the virtues and ideals of Liberty. The men and women under my command are proud to risk their lives for our nation, and I beleive most of the population of Liberty is most definately on side with out servicemen and women.
Are you somehow active in dispute between Bretonia and Kusari?
Conflict between two houses is something which is always a sad affair. We are offering humanitarian aid to bretonian civilians, and also supplying non military goods to Kuari. As such we're not taking any side in the conflict at all. However the welfare of citizen on both sides of the war is of great importance to us, and the logistical wing of the Liberty navy is the perfect tool for limiting the damage to non combatants on both sides.
Why don't you ban Junkers from Liberty, although they are selling slaves and cardamine?
While we appreciate that some junkers are in the business of slaving and drug dealing, the vast majority are not. We treat those we catch smuggling drugs or trafficing people as the criminals they are. However it would be unjust to punish the whole of the junker organisation, most of whom are law abiding Liberty citizens, for the crimes of the few.
Is there something you would like to tell to our nation?
The Liberty Navy works long and hard for your safety. We do take a lot of stick for numberous things, but it's worth remember that we have men on the front lines, not only protecting Libertonian lives, but working for the good of the entirity of the sector. Those men and women are not policy makers, they are not politicians, and each has their own view and political stance. However they all share one thing: Dedication to the nation which they serve and an unfearing, unflinching resolve to uphold Justice, Respect, Freedom and Liberty.
