Only think i dont like here is fast refire low damage snac version..

No matter whats speed if you can "spray" guns.. I hit more often with higher refire and lower speed then lower refire and higher speed..

But still.. that gun could be dual mounted and do some serious damage.. and i thought we want to make bombers anti cap and not anti-fighter..

Just no.. even double time slower then snac with double less damage would be no still..

As long you can mount two and fire in same time its no..


Edit: Heavy bombers would have one advantage and they deserve one.. I dont find any problems with them using CD, Snac and EMP snac...

The advantage of a heavy bomber is a freighter shield and larger power core (which comes with faster regen built in). There's no reason other bombers should have to sacrafice versatility because of the whole 3 heavy bombers we've got in the mod.

Takes the place of a normal snac shot, to be fair. Would require the same amount of energy, thus putting your normal snac on it's cooldown.

Heavy bombers are big .. slow and easy to kill with fighter and even with other bombers.
So they are dangerous in group against lone capital.. but I think useless when it comes to capital with escort..
Trade ships are same as caps.. easier to kill but anyway.

I had flown a Bomber for over a year and a half, I come back after 3 months or so and the Devs have ruined them.

You have taken Skill out of the Equation.
A good bomber pilot could hold it own against fighters and fight them, Now all bombers are is just bait.

You say this is balance? Calling in bombers when there are fighters and they're mainly used as bait?

In my eyes you have taken the Skill aspect away from bombers and just left fighters in the Equation.

I think that people just got pissy because the good bomber pilots out there where better in their bombers than those fools in their fighters.

Any fighter pilot knew not to try and dog fight a Bomber, it was a fools errand unless the fighter pilot was good.
Yet now you give bombers some crappy weapons with crappy speeds and god knows what else.

You've ruined the skill aspect of the game and I wont stop complaining untill it's fixed.

You're kidding right? You've got to be, because the malarky coming from your keyboard has made me laugh until I cried.

Counter-argument: It seems to me that instead of taking the skill OUT of the equation, they (the Developers) have added a higher skill requirement to bomber v fighter combat. Now, it takes more skill to take down that pesky designed-for-space-superiority fighter in your designed-to-take-out-caps bomber.

Hmm...NEXT!

I pose that "those fools in their fighters" now will fly them as they were intended, as the space-superiority role. Granted, it still takes too long to down a bomber before said bomber downs it's intended target, but that's being worked on.

The days of bombers being pwn-mobiles, as you remember them, are gone. Get used to it, adapt, or perish. I know of many (many many) bomber pilots that will still shred fighter formations. I also know that mixed-bag fleets are quite a requirement nowadays.

Back in your "good old days", I can remember SCRA bringing 4-6 Taiidan bombers out of the hanger, and utterly destroying whatever came into their path. Can we do that now? hell no. Why? Because now you need 2-3 bombers and 3-4 fighters for a nice, balanced snubfighter sortie.

Wait..what was that word? oh yeah. Balance. Equality within the ranks of snubfighters, a role for each class. I'll be the first to admit it's not perfect, but it's a helluva lot closer than it was in your "good old days"

So no, you probably will not stop complaining, but there will always be people out there that do nothing but complain, forgoing the opportunity to help build up something for the much easier task of tearing it down. But there will also be those that will take your arguments and deposit them in the appropriate trash-bin at the door.
