Quote:5.2 All attacks must be the result of some form of role play. "Engaging" is not sufficient. An attack is any hostile action that drains shields to less than 50%. Being hit with a CD is not considered an attack. If a player is attacked he has a right to defend himself regardless of who is attacking.
6.6 Aggressors are not allowed to destroy a trade vessel prior to issuing a demand and allowing sufficient time to respond. Demands may be cargo, credits or an RP demand, such as leaving the system. "Halt" is not a demand.
Consequences:
Any role-play is better than none.
Silent but deadly.
50 million credits deducted from your trader.
Notification in hold.
If you post in this sanction and are not directly involved or a leader of the accused person's faction be advised that you are consenting to be subjected to the reprisal of my choice which may involve in game repercussions up to a ban.
Howdy howdy. If I may, I'd like to inquire about this sanction and how I violated the rules. I may still be new to the pirating game (and Disco in general), but I thought I had at least covered the basics.
In any case, I'd would appreciate a few more details about why I was sanctioned. If it was because of events in New York, I will defend all 3 of my encounters there.
If it because of events in Colorado, I could use some clarification myself.
A few details on why I was levied such a large fine would be appreciated.
This'll be the last I post unless there is a reply. It looks like the admins are busy enough.
50 mil is a lot to me, so I'd at least like to try and defend myself it possible. As far as I can tell this report is over the fact I performed the coup de gr?ce on a Liberty Navy vessel that was actively engaged with the rest of my group. I didn't announce myself as an attacker, this I'll admit. Neither did half of our pirating group, which had engaged several vessels beforehand.
I merely assumed, as our party had been pirating for some time in Colorado, that it would be perfectly fine to engage the Liberty vessel (a big 'un, cruiser mayhaps?) after our party 'leader' had given sufficient cause for battle. I believe I recieved a sanction report only because it was my name on the kill screenshot.
In anycase, well, that's about all I can remember that would have caused a report. I've learned a lot on how PvP should go down over the past week and a half and I am having a lot of fun.
At least one good thing has come out of this, I screecap EVERYTHING I do now. Paranoia is learned, I guess.
The evidence demonstrated that you had killed another player without any role-play at all. The entire group you were with managed one word between you before killing the other player, who, it must be said, was the real victim here, having to log off his character for four hours.
We don't have concrete evidence of your colleagues' actual role in the killing but rest assured they would most likely have shared your fate had the other player been pressing the screenshot button throughout the entire affair rather than trying to enjoy this wonderful game. Ye shall reap as ye sow, etc.
