I was wondering if I join the mandolins if I have to create A new character.. Please reply back I may be joining if my business doesn't pick up
No new char required, as long as he's already a lawful merc.
But you need an NCC.
In my sig below, find a link to the [M] website. There, you can post in recruitment. Please do that, and there, answer the questions below: (You can be pretty brief)
1. Forum name, and which time zone you are in(Reference to GMT please)
2. Desired Character Name: (Must end in [M], and you can provide 2 English words to be translated into Mandalorian. It's Yuri's thing.)
3. Why do you want to join the Mandalorean Mercs?
4. How long have you been playing on Discovery? How long on other servers?
5. How would you rate your piloting skills on a scale of 1 to 10? (Be honest. We'll figure it out anyway)
6. How would you rate your RP skills on a scale of 1 to 10? (Again, be honest please)
7. What is the basic difference between a Mercenary and a Bounty Hunter?
8. Name the most significant House Military Factions on the Discovery RP Server.
9. Name the most significant Unlawful Factions on the Discovery RP Server.
Hello, I hope my comment here is not (too) offtopic. I am interested in joining up with an "Assassin" like guild/faction. Your faction seems to be very close to what I'm looking for:
- mercernary basically (takes money from ANYONE, can hunt ANYONE you say, I hope this definitely includes heads of the big houses if the payment is enough and of course with properly organized surgical attack, this is one of the main reasons why I'm looking to join a faction instead of being a lonely merc, some targets need team work); there is one issue here, in the official faction list M is listed as allied to RM, while there are realistic and strategic gains to have being allied with a big house thus sort of protected by their space (in case other houses want to retaliate against your high profile recent assassinations) that kinda contradicts with your statement that you can take on ANY target
- clear organizational structure and rules; however I do have some comments about them, I do think that the immediate lower level in hierachy should have the posibility to periodically (so we avoid constant in-faction fighting) challange his direct boss in PvP fight and if win take his/her place; this is the true way of the warrior and it makes more sense for Mandalorians IMO; it should also make sure that the best are at the top, keep the faction healthy; this is also what usually happens in assassin guilds
- I do not like your rule that M members are not allowed to travel freely to any system they wish (not to mention to take freely on bounties); I am looking for something more decentrelized; a faction that should help its members by initial money, training, advice and help and that also requires them to be present on group coordinated attacks but that should allow them spare time to take freely on bounties they wish (as long as they pay up a certain percent to the faction since the faction has invested in them); I would like to have this allowed but of course under certain rules (like the M member is not allowed to start a war with a faction since that will affect the M faction standing with that faction overall, on freelancing the M members would be allowed to kill only the targets and other ships if they are threatening the life of the M member while taking on the bounty, so ONLY if necessary have kills outside the target)
If you don't agree to my comments and sugestions then sorry for being offtopic and maybe you have an idea of another faction that would allow this. Something like a Assassin Syndicate (a loosly coupled organization of assassins following simple/few rules with no alliances unless required by some hugely beneficial strategic reason).

The above writeup is old. We have relationships with the houses, who are clients. Its actually not too hard to remember, primarilly:
-We don't take bounties on lawful factions except KNF.
-We hunt Corsairs on behalf of lawfuls and the Outcasts.
-most other unlawfuls, and many indys, are fair game.
- clear organizational structure and rules; however I do have some comments about them, I do think that the immediate lower level in hierachy should have the posibility to periodically (so we avoid constant in-faction fighting) challange his direct boss in PvP fight and if win take his/her place; this is the true way of the warrior and it makes more sense for Mandalorians IMO; it should also make sure that the best are at the top, keep the faction healthy; this is also what usually happens in assassin guilds.
That's interesting, we don't do that now, but it could be a neat way to promote someone. Trouble is, Gronath could kick my a** in PVP, but he doesnt want Mandalore.

That is old. We pretty well go where we want, either to kill people (Gamma), or to get gear (Alpha with permission) Even the Order accepts our presence in their systems. (At least Black Squadron does) But we ask for permission from friendlies.

We have friends and alliances. As a merc organisation, can't take Outcast bounties one day and Corsairs the next. Otherwise soon everyone would hate you. If you are ok with this, register at http://mystacx.net/ysymm/ and post under recruitment.
Thanks for your answers. I guess the game mechanics does not allow to be able to take on any target if enough money is payed as you said you can quickly become enemy of anyone (it would have been nice if this was still functional somehow, like for example have a base in a remote edge world nebula, with access to jump holes that are also usually located in nebulas with reduced sensor functionality thus one could quickly converge to the heart of liberty even if it's an enemy almost undedected).
Then of course there is the problem that you cannot do open trading or scouting since almost anyone will attack you on sight, so such a faction would need a lot of independent agents (spies and traders) that would work for it and provide the logistics needed for its survival. The core of the faction would perform the bounty filling and with a system of travel based on jump holes located in locations with reduced sensor functionality it could work.
Maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about:)Again thanks for your answers.

Hello, I would very much like to join the Mandalorians since your setout of ranking, background and achievments are outstanding and I would be honoured to join the ranks of the Mandalorians.
I have set up a character named
MM~Verek.Tor
I would like to enquire into weather this is still your tag as I noticed in your video that you all seemed to have the tag [M] after the name.
I will require a enlisting payment of 15 million preferably
