Installing patch over previous Discovery 4.78 Final is essential for playing on our server. Patch must be applied after previous version of 4.78 Final is activated.
If patch won't work, download and install the new revision of Discovery 4.78 Final. New 4.78 revision must be activated after previous 4.78 is deactivated and deleted.
Activate patch after you activate Discovery 4.78. Note that if you downloaded 4.78 now no patch is needed (it's included). If you downloaded 4.78 earlier, November 30 or December 1, yes you need a patch. Essentially.
FLMM will prompt you twice with error messages when you activate patch. Press "Yes" on each screen and don't care about those messages. Patch activates 100% properly.
Igiss.. What if we overwrite the patch over the mod?

Imean the patch files over the mod files and then we would not have to activate the patch

Yes, it's possible... I just didn't want to cause confusion with two ways of updating. It's even safer in the way that FLMM will have better idea of what files to restore while deactivating. I'm not sure that deactivating two mods will be safe, so have to advise Freelancer reinstall during the next Discovery update.
Check the file size. It should be just over 14,400Kb. Mine kept getting 1,200Kb or 500Kb. Also check your C: drive to see how much space you have left. That was my problem.
