Sometimes it doesn't even matter wether the manufacturer needs the money or is gaining anything from the transaction.
Some pilots just has a proper (and I do mean PROPER !!) RP to support him and his choice of ship. But like AC_Merc said - never an enemies ship (no matter how godlike your RP is).:sleep:
Someone with a Zoner ID and a Rheinland Gunboat could pull it off without breaking the rules. As for his tag... well, it takes time to get one - but he has to change it to fit he's ID and actions.
What's the consensus on someone who was a good "company guy" for a while then has a change of heart? Would a Liberty Rogue who decided to go BH (well within the realm of possibility given pirate rumours about BH) be forced to give up his beloved ship and armament?

No, not really. It would just be bloody hard to RP that without someone complaining about you every hour.
