Councillors,

On behalf of the Her Majesty's government of the United Kingdom of Bretonia I have been instructed to seek an immediate armistace with all paramilitary forces operating under the command of the Molly Republic, along the following points:

One, that all hostilities between forces under the command of the Molly Republic and all lawful forces of the Crown of Bretonia shall immediately cease.

Two, that formal peace talks be opened in conference aboard the Battleship Hood, on the understanding of the right to self-determination of the Molly people in a common alliance with Bretonia against our external foes.

Three, that as a gesture of good faith both sides agree to a swift and expedient return of political and other prisoners of war, including the release of mollies being held in Bretonia under charges of piracy or terrorism.


If you wish to respond to this offer of terms in any way, I will receive any representative acting as a plenipotentiary of the Molly Republic aboard the Battleship Essex in good faith and guarenteed safe passage between now and 2300 hours Galactic Measure Time this Friday, until which time no significant offensive operations against molly forces will be ordered.

It is the express hope of our Queen and government that we might put an end to Bretonia's internal strife at this moment of historic danger to us all.

Admiral Nelson,

The Molly Republic will agree to the armistice according to your three points, and will send a delegate to the Essex to formally accept these terms.

We will, however, only transfer our prisoners of war to once we receive the men and women you have held hostage.
Pardon our suspicions, but I believe that I'm known to be an honourable man, and I give you my word that when we see you are trustworthy and we have our people home safely, we will fulfill our part of the bargain.

The actual date of the summit may be set by you, as our schedules are notably more fluid than yours.
We will be there.
