A VERY ROUGH TRANSLATE. REQUIRES A GOOD GRAMMAR NAZI AND WHATNOT.
"Back in 2003, when Freelancer space simulator has been released, the game was often accused of a weak realisation of the put potential. Indeed - after the storyline there were just a few corners of the 'infinite' universe. The game was lacking scale. Modders immediately began to work on the situation. The absolute leader of the present mods, judging by the players amount, is Discovery Freelancer, the last version of which has been released last summer. Said mod was in ModDB.com's Top-100 for three times. In 2007 the mod has been awarded "The best mod for a simulator"(This award was received only once.)
The mod's purpose to extend the Freelancer storyline tenfold. The mod's storyline takes place approximately 20 years after the SP campaign, and the world didn't go quiet at all - wars, alliances and intrigues follow humanity, separated from Earth.
A few words on the stats:
Discovery has three times more systems, compared to the original, two more hundreds of various ships and lots of new weapons and commodities. The mod is respected not only by the quantity, but the quality of the additions, too. All of the additions accurately fit into the original game's storyline. The atmosphere remained as it was earlier - anyone who played the vanilla Freelancer will feel like home. It's still the same charming universe; yet far larger.
Developers say that originally the mod was intended to be used for LAN playing, but later on it've significantly changed, updated, and received thousands of fans. Right now Discovery has a full developer crew, quickly working on the next versions of the great mod, consisting of a few dozens of people, including russians. Most russian Freelancer servers are based off Discovery."

Congratulations, for such a large and famous magazine to publish your work, Igiss, and the work of every single member in the dev. team, there must have been something they saw.
We all know this mod is amazing, it's good to see other people think so as well.

Took the words out of my mouth Eternal. Congrats guys!
Cool:)It happened that I'm a user of Igromania Forum and it was rather... weird, I'd say, to see Igromania to be mentioned on a foreign forum, especially on one, dedicated to Freelancer.
It's a pity, that they didn't appreciate Freelancer at true value, thoudgh, when the game was released they gave it a rather good mark (7,5 if I'm not mistaking).
I've been taking lessons in Russian for the past 5 years and I'm pretty good at it so if anyone needs a general translation gimme a call.
Also, I used to buy the magazine too and let me tell you, you have no idea how big this is. If you think that Disco's getting there is super-duper-mega-hyper fantastic, you're wrong. It's 100 times that:P
I have contacts with some guys that are working here in BG on their own magazine since 1998 and they happen to be the best on the Balkans...or maybe one of the best and right now I'm trying to persuade them to test the mod and include it in a review or something; maybe even put it on their disc.
