I saw some time ago in auction some nice icons, and I would like to implement them into my version. The only thing I know is those are from Plasmafire (I have it on my HDD) but I do not know which files should I replace to have such nice effect,icons etc.

Would be grateful for helping me out with this.

The files are here:

\Freelancer\DATA\EQUIPMENT\MODELS\COMMODITIES\COMM_ICONS

They are actually skinned 3d models (well, 2d models in a 3d model environment).

As for how to make them, no idea.

Last I checked, changing stuff like that gets you banhammered. Might want to check in with the Admins first.
